I'm curious about one thing, though - after Daksha was killed, why did Brahma and Vishnu approach Shiva and ask him to restore Daksha's life and allow the completion of that yagna? Why was that yagna so important that it had to be completed by its undertaker whose main aim was to humiliate Shiva and Sati?

May be by compeleting that yagya & giving him aahuti they established Shivji's importance, without him no yagya can be compeleted. Yagya being a mean of offering the Deities their share in the form of aahutis carried by Agni was the important ritual established by Brhmaji & his sons.

Sati had tried to prove Shivji's importance, so this was their way of rectifying their mistake.

or May be seeing the result of supporting Daksh, they realised who is the Real Boss😆

After all, sati ka main aim yahi tha ki daksh or shivji ki ladai per pratiband lagana or shivji ko samman mile yagya me.

the tarakasur track is gonna stretch for a long time coz parvati is yet to be born and marry shivji. there is so much tha tis suppose to happen b4 tarakasur actually dies. shivji will go into deep meditation right after marriage. right now i think he is going to do tandav and finally vishnu comes through to save the world. but i would be disgusted if vishnuji actually sticks to his promise and tries to help daksha after veerbhadra comes face to face with daksha. i love prrecap. veerbhadra is awesome. i m dying for the moment when that loser will lose his head while begging vishnuji to help.

i know one thing for sure. the tandav is going to be breathtaking. it is going to glue everybody to the screen. they should have had a special mahaepisode for this type of episodes you know.

The account here of Vishnu promising Daksha his protection is new to me. But after Virbhadra and Bhadrakali stormed Daksha's yagna, it was the duty of all the guests - which included Brahma & Vishnu - to protect the yagna, and Daksha as well. So they fought Shiva's ganas out of a duty, or else, they'd have violated their duties as Daksha's guests. Since Daksha was hosting them, whether we like him or not, he was entitled to their support if any external forces tried to disrupt his yagna, and that's what happened.

The way it went - the Devas, who had initially repelled the Ganas earlier when Sati ended her life - provided the first line of defense, but were no match for Kali's hordes. Virbhadra in the meantime spread havoc, and trounced Indra and anyone else protecting it. Finally Vishnu too fought Virbhadra, but Virbhadra knocked him unconscious as well. Daksha was all this while hiding to save his life, but Virbhadra then found him, beheaded him and tossed his head into the yagnakund.
