Hi,
Today's episode was my first one of Dev series, and I must say its an impressive attempt at crime fiction series. Indian Television was in dire need of some refreshing crime series, something that would break the stereotype of stupid CID.

People can argue that its Sherlock's copy..blah..blah but does that matter when the show is offering good content and value for watching? Heck, everything these days is a copy, so who cares?

Actor (IDK his name but I have seen him on TV) is doing a fab job as a witty, calculative, cocky yet emotional detective. He must be appreciated. Surprisingly, even Meera actress is not being irritating unlike what she does in Kapil's show.

Episode was interesting today. I am curious to see whether they will show a love angle between Meera and Dev because she does seem to have some 'respectful' feelings for him. Andd..they somehow did hint towards Dev being jealous when she mentioned about going out with thaet inspector guy(inspector actor could have been better).

All and all, I am looking forward to this series. Commendable job from the whole team!

Sid.

To be frank first weekend Ididn't like this show. Even I felt he is copying Sherlock Holmes. But after watching some more weeks especially this week I am completely impressed by Dev. Really happy with this show. Totally love Dev's character.

There are elements of Sherlock Holmes in Dev but it still manages to keep some originality. At times I feel like Ashish is copying the mannerisms of Johny Lee Miller who plays Sherlock in Elementary. Wish he wouldn't do that. Otherwise this is an excellent weekend show, it's a shame the TRPs don't reflect it

I didn't expect TRPs of a crime show to be high. If Dev manages to get decent ratings at this slot, then its fine.
Originality is the thing that is keeping the viewers interested. I don't mind copying as long as actor is doing it according to the need of the character.

Do you think Mahek'scharacter is inspired by Irene Adler in the Sherlock Holmes stories?
