This weekend's story:
Best story till now: better content, good timing of scenes, good acting in various secundary roles, much more shown of Mani than before - even in an 'action' scene đ
BUT:
1) How could the girl show such a blackened, burnt face in the beginning, whereas she was only burning from the back, on the body not the face?
2) How could the doctor who examined her have not seen the fake burning make-up? Was he bribed or didn't he know how to recognize severe burns?
3) How could she have exchanged the body at the mortuary, then have it taken back to the house for the pooja, etc. and none of the family not recognizing an alien body?
4) How could the blood have remained so red and visible in the store room after what must have been at least a couple of days? Also, how did it get there, that too, on what looked like a wooden pane inside the room?
5) How come DD picked up a bone from the earth near the tulsi WITHOUT gloves, whereas she always has them with her? She was looking for some evidence, so she would have carried the gloves as well as her little plastic bag(s). Now she actually messed up things...
6) How did Bhim know it was Amma's blood??? Had he taken a sample from her, and everyone else in the family?
And some minor observations:
. Amma apparently ruled the family with a strict hand > would she have allowed the maid to dance with the others during the Sangeet?! Besides, wouldn't Rukhmini have had to work, if she was called in at that time?
. Anyone who gets hit on the head with a spade that way, should show at least some blood and be dizzy - unless one is really thickheaded. DD not only speaks fully coherently, but also appears totally unharmed. Thick skulleDD đ
. Mani looked all right in the dance, nothing awkward about that. But, ouch, their jodi-bananewale scenes were - pretty awkward. There is no spark, no chemistry (strange, that Bhim, who is supposed to be rather an uncouth Haryanvi chap should have used that word for them...đ), no expectation of upcoming romantic stuff.
Sadly, here too, the camera hangs too much on them, the director makes them stare at each other for too long - and then it becomes awkward, because there is actually quite an imbalance in their being there.
Manish is so expressive, so pleasant, so boyish as Bhim, while Sonia remains rather staid and (sorry, to both) actually looks rather older than he. Especially when her hair is open and she did those dancing scenes.
. Why would they say again that one or the other had solved the case, at closing time? It sounds quite childish by now. As it is, they didn't help each other with the information either had collected, except Bhim wanting to tell DD about the report.
It would be much nicer if they start cooperating, not necessarily as a couple but at least professionally. Thereby lifting the story from this base level.
Good luck in the next month! âď¸
