Chapter 4

The sky ripped its heart apart and cried out aloud , as there was thunder and lightning , the nature was in its worse form, the leaves trembled in fear as she sat there in a corner of her kitchen all alone in the home pacifying her pain , six months had passed but nothing had changed uday continued to show his colder side to her each day he beat her black and blue and each night he was with jai to fulfill his lust , manyata body ached like a thousand devils she was just a body now , the life in her was already killed , tears took place of her smile , there was no way that she could stop uday from hurting her , she was tired , the only reason she was breathing was because of akash as many a times by chance they meet and exchanged a small conversation , and in her home the only cries of manyata was heard , but now she could not do this anymore , she was tried , she no longer could struggle so she opened the balcony door as the rain drops hit her body even the little drops of water freshened the wound she was mentally and physically broken in a state where all one wants is dead , she hated uday , she badly wanted to be with her love akash who would sweep away all her sorrow but due to the social barrier she had no choice but to get herself crushed by this devil to whom she was just a slave but no more now she could no longer take the pain as her trembling legs with pain took tight held of the railing she looked down as she heard a voice she looked back it was uday , her heart pounded she knew there was no way to back off if she dared to go back then he will kill her by beating her so it is better to die at onces than to die each day as finally he lost her balance and fell down on the ground with a thump while people started to gather and blood started to fill up the roads as he rushed down to her sight and took her soft fragile body in his embrace , his eyes flooded with tears and as he looked at her hurt body , without wasting a second he got her into the hospital she was admitted to ICU as doctors and nurse ran inside he sat down his heart pounding as he was crying like a child he did not know why but after watching her that way a guilt arose in him , a guilt of making her suffer so much , for giving her the treatment she never deserved , for betraying her and mostly to hate her so much without any reason he cried his heart out as he said

UDAY:why manyata ? why did you take such a step? Why

He kept crying as his thoughts were disturbed by a call it was from jai , disheartily he picked up as his anger boiled after listening to her

JAI:good work uday finally we made it now after her funeral we will get married okay and leave happily ever after

UDAY:my wife not dead yet jainandini arora and trust me I will never let her die

JAI:since when did that shrumpet become your wife

UDAY:hold your tongue back only for you she is in this condition you are nothing but a greedy , selfish wh**e

Now jai was equally fired as she screamed and said

JAI:oh really so what are you huh? Spending the very first night of your marriage with some other woman , hitting your so called wife to dead I did just give the plan but it is you to carry the plan

There was a long silence , flashes of manyata pleading and begging him to stop came to his mind as he clunched his hands in a fist a lone tear escaped his eyes as he said gritting his teeths

UDAY:I know I had done injustice to her but no more

Saying this he disconnected the call and now things were clear to him the reason for his heart to ache every time he hurt her was because every one time he hurt her his heart was hurt a several time , the thing he had for jai was just lust but the thing he had for manyata is love every day after a tiring day it was manyata who came and offered him tea so his stress is reduced even after so much of pain she did not go to the police and betray him instead she choose an option where he would not be blamed before marriage she even told about her crush and even after marriage each night he betrayed her , he always insulted her but she does not deserve such hatred no she never he did injustice to her and it was he who would sort things out as doctor came out and said in a low distinct tone

DOCTOR:she is fine now just a fracture in her leg it will take time to heal about a month and there are such internal injuries so her body is too weak so you really need to take care of her

UDAY;can I '..can I see her now

DOCTOR:yes she has regained her sence

As he raced inside the hospital room , she laid there with tubes disappearing into her body , and marks covered her whole as she looked up into the ceiling lonely tears rolled off her cheek he came and knelled near her bed as she turned her face at the very sight of uday , his eyes were swelled with tears as he said

UDAY:are you feeling better?

MANYATA: yes I am but may I know who are you

UDAY:don't joke manyata I am uday your husband

MANYATA:husband huh how can I forget you are my husband you know even if I want to forget I can never as you marks completely took over my body the pain will never let me forget

UDAY:I am sorry manyata

MANYATA:don't be because I will never forgive you I am so sorry that I am alive you plan a failed but don't worry I will not be alive for long I will try my level best to leave you forever

at this uday could not take anymore and knelled down and took her hands in his and made promises

UDAY:i swear manyata i will be a good husband please manyata please give me a last chance

at this tears rolled of her cheek she spoke nothing but flashes of the past came to her mind and she could not control but weep like a small child by seeing her tears uday heart ached as he looked up to her and said

UDAY:manyata please don't cry i am sorry what shall i do now i never let any one see my tears not even mom and i never cried for someone not even when my dad left me please

MANYATA:uday even i never pledded someone so badly the wounds you gave me will take time to heal up

UDAY:ok take as mush as time you want but please don't leave me and see i won't even divorce you

MANYATA:No i can't stay with you as everytime i do so the same fear will come into my mind so please i think we should end our relation here

UDAY:please manyata please last chance i will prove myself please

his eyes look so pledding that manyata mind went blank as she got carried away in his softness and she knew this was the only way to stop him so she finally said

MANYATA:ok i will but on one condition we will sign a contract i am giving you a month time and if you cannot prove your love to me i will divorce you and you will agree to it

uday stood up he was so happy that finally she agreed to him and smiled and said'

UDAY:i accept

but nature had made it won rule now the tables were turned the pawn became the king , evil smiled at his helplessly foolish love for the girl as it was sure that it was a win win case
