He pulled her even closer in his embrace. Even she was his support as he was for her. As he closed his eyes, the pages of his life started to flip before his eyes. Back they went and took him to the happy days, joyful days just before this devastation; the days which were peaceful and had a happy and contenting silence, THE SILENCE BEFORE THE STORM. (So guys basically most of the story is in the past, excluding a few chaps.)

~THE PAST~

"humara janam sirf aapki seva karne keliye hua hain. Aapki seva me hi humari khushi, sukh aur samadhan basta hain. Aap bas aapki kathinayi ka zikr kijiye, hum turaant wo mitayenge. Aapke har sawaal ka, har paristitika, har mushkilka hal hum jarur dhund nikalenge. Marte dum tak hum aapki seva me date rahenge. Humari bharat maaki jholi khushiyonse bhar denge. Aapka har sapna sakaar karenge. Humare desh ko firse pragatike path pr layenge. Ye sab karne keliye bas aapke aadharki, aapke haat ki hume jarurat hain. Agr aapki kripachaya rahi to namumkin ko bhi mumkin me badal dalenge. Kya aap sab humare saath hain? "(translation: the reason of our birth is to just serve you all. Our happiness, pleasure and content lies in serving you all. You just mention your problem and we will find a solution to it. We will be serving you till my last breath. We will make our mother India happy once again. We will fulfill all your dreams. We will bring our country back on the track of progress. For doing all this, we only need your support, your hand. If your blessings are with us, we will turn the impossible to possible. Are u all with us? ) he addressed the crowd. "haan…" the whole crowd shouted out in unison. "dhanyawaad. Bas hum yahi sunana chahte the, yahi kehna chahte the. JAI HIND" Vijay ended his speech and the crowd cheered for him

Uday chuckled, listening to the speech Vijay gave, relaxing on the couch in his room watching the live telecast. "kitna lecture deta hain yaar" he said to Vijay, though Uday knew Vijay inside the TV will not be able to hear him.

"Uday beta, dekha, Vijay kaha nikal gaye. Aaj Vijayendra JSP (Jana Sahakar Party) ke head hain. Aur aap, yaha saap jaise din bhar lete rehte hain" Giriraj said to Uday as he walked inside Uday's room. "oh please dad. Aapke kehne pr party join ki hain na, ab to bs kijiye. Main jo kuch bhi karu aapko problemhi hain! Dheere dheere sab party ke kaam samaajh raha hu main. Aur kya expect karte ho aap!" Uday irritatedly replied switching off the TV. "beta, aap jo kuch bhi karte hona, problematic hi hota hain. Ek dhang ka kaam to karte hi nahi" Giriraj angrily replied. "bas dad, itna bhi nikkama nahi hu. Aap to jara over react hi karte ho" Uday backed himself. "whatever… hum aapse kuch aur hi kehne aaye the. Chalo jaldise tayar hojayiye, hume Patel mansion jana hain. Aaj waha pe lunch keliye bulaya hain" Giriraj told him. "nah! Main nahi aane wala" Uday said brisking away the invitation. "aapse pucha nahi hain beta, aapko bataya ja raha hain. Chalo get up. Waise bhi aaj yaha lunch nahi banaya" Giriraj said forcing him to get up. "kyun dad! I am not coming its final! Main bahar kha lunga" Uday was very frustrated. "beta, aap us gharke jamai sa hain, I mean honge. Aisa nahi karte" Giriraj patiently explained him. "dad, u know, jamai sa ko bahot respect dete hain ladki wale, BAHOT RESPECT" he said forcing on 'bahot respect' "to unhe yaha aana chahiye unke jamai sa keliye. Jamai sa ko yaha waha bhagana nahi chahiye" Uday continued. "enough is enough now Udayveer. Ho kya gaya hain tumko, aise kyun behave karne lage ho ap beta? Dekhiye, hum haat jodkr aapse binti karte hain please chaliye. Vijay, Unnati aur Manyata waha pahochte hi honge" Giriraj pleaded though he actually didn't join hands. "Ok thik hain dad, m coming" Uday said and got up. Giriraj waited outside his room while Uday quickly got ready. As Uday came out, Giriraj explained him, "beta, I know u work very hard. But I want to see u completing my dream. Tumhe pata hain, hum humesha chahate the humare bete ka raaj ho. He should rule. Ab college me aur tumhare frenz ke group me tumhari hi chalti hain, pr politics is different. Sabko apne control me rakhna chahiye. U should always see to it that koi tumhare order se, hukum se bahar na jaye. Jab aisa hoga na, tb u will understand the fun in it. tb tumhe pata chalega usme kya maza hain, tb tumhe pata chalega ki tumhare dad gala faad faad kr tumhe aisa kyun keh rahe the" Giriraj told him his wish. He stopped as they were outside the house. Uday was feeling 'dad ki baat me dum hain boss'. "driver, gaadi nikalo" Giriraj ordered the driver and within no time, the driver was with the car before them. "dinesh," Uday said as he proceeded towards the driver and Giriraj sat behind, "chabi dedo, I'll drive." "what, no not at all. You are not giving Uday the keys dinesh. Uday peeche aake baitho. Ye din mujhe meri zindagika aakhri nahi karna. Aap itni rash driving karte ho na beta, ke hum to jarur mar jayenge. No sorry, I can't allow u to drive" Giriraj said to Uday n Dinesh. Till then continuously Uday was looking at Dinesh while Dinesh was shifting his gaze from Uday to Giriraj. As Giri finished talking, Uday brought his hand ahead signifying Dinesh to keep the keys there. Uday smirked looking at him. Dinesh gulped and kept the keys in Uday's hand. He left immediately. As Uday sat in the car, Giri asked him "ye kya tha beta? Humne kaha tha na aapse I don't want u to drive." Adjusting the seat and mirror Uday said, "aapne hi to kaha tha na, sabko khudke control me rakhna chahiye, to uski practice." Giriraj smacked his head.

Uday and Giriraj reached the mansion. Uday gave the car n keys to the guard for parking. Uday and Giriraj went inside. They were welcomed by Mrinalini, Samar, Brij and Vijay who were having a small meeting. Both came n sat n joined the convo. Suddenly, the discussion turned to Uday being the Patel's jamai sa n the marriage and the preparations, though there were still many years. Vijay realized that Uday was very unhappy. Vijay called Uday away from the discussion in the garden.

"kya hua Uday, khush nahi ho shaadise?" asked Vijay. "areh vijay aisa kya puch rahe ho, u know na…" said Uday. "no I don't know, isiliye to puch raha hu. I wan't to hear from you" said Vijay. "ok, I am not happy with this marriage. Mujhe nahi karni shaadi itni jaldi. I know it has time, but tu jaanta hain me kaisa hu. 10 lakh girlfriends rahi hogi meri and u are expecting me to settle with one girl now? Dekh shaadi itne jaldi nahi ho rahi pr fir bhi its restricting me yaar. Kisi ladki se baat tk karne jata hu to ye shaadi uchhal aati hain beech me" Uday said looking away. "I know, me bhi chahta hu ke you two shouldn't be fiancs. I mean ye itne jaldi tay nahi karna chahiye tha. Even behena wants to be more involved in party work and even elections arahe hain do saalonme. It's even blocking her progress. But ur ok with behena? I mean tumhe tumhari so called dulhanse koi problem nahi hain na? I mean agar seriously kuch saalon baad tumhari aur behena ki shaadi hogayee to it will be ok for you na?" asked Vijay. "hmm…" Uday replied without thinking.

"Vijay, Uday chalo neeche ayo lunch tayar hain" Unnati shouted out to both of them from the garden door. "yup behena, we are coming" Vijay answered Unnati's call and Uday gave her a broad smile.

The lunch was going on and the youngsters weren't much involved in the discussions. Manyata and Uday sat near each other while Unnati sat across Uday. It was clearly written on Uday's face that he was in some different world. Soon the lunch was over and Uday went and sat outside in the garden alone.

"WHY DADU DADI, WHY?? WHY DID U TWO LEAVE ME! AGR AAJ AAP DONO YAHA HOTE TO ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE! NA YE SHAADI NA YE PARTY NA YE POLITICS!! COME BACK NA! PLEASE DADU, PLEASE DADI, WAPAS AJAYO!" Uday screamed

That's it guys! Well I don't know whether it was short, long, boring, interesting, shocking, disheartening, unexpected, expected. I know one thing that I kept my promise this time.

So guys from the update u know now that Uday n Unnati are fiancs and I am damn sure u have gone collecting tomatoes, andas n chappals to hit me black n blue. But before u do so, remember what I ahd said, I'll be here with a complete new set of relations and so they are. To some, I had told that there will be two bombs/surprises. Well Uday-Unnati being fiancs is one one of those. The other will be coming soon.
