To all DEK fans here and the CVs of DEk pls do so

I started watching DEK because it has a unique story angle and recently I started visiting this forum to see what others feel about this serial..These days I feel that despite having positive growth in certain areas, the uniqueness of the story is getting lost. These days the story feels just like any other love story. DEK is not just a love story. Its a story about love and politics… and it's a story about a royal family in modern times and how the future heiress of that family is raised and how she comes to accept her family, her royal heritage and the challenges associated with being a royal and the future ruler of a riyasat.. but this aspect of the story is not well executed since Manyata's coronation ceremony.

I agree that Manyata's character is being evolved and becoming mature.. but still I feel that some aspects are missing.. Similar is with Udeyveer 's character. Although Udey is being portrayed as becoming selfless in love ( which is an important and a good improvement) but at the same time it should not be shown that he is becoming meek and just a 'lover-boy'…. because after all who is Udey veer? He is the Uvraj of Jaigar destined to rule not one but two kingdoms if he ultimately marries Manyata. And although he should not be cruel and do anything for just the sake of the Riyasat the way his father brought him up to do so, he should always be shown to value his heritage and work hard to keep its prestige. And so although he has fallen head over heels in love with Manyata he should be still portrayed as someone with a STATURE. His love for Manyata is one aspect of his character.. he should be shown as someone who is working hard to keep his prestige and his riyasat and his business.. these days we don't see Udey' s business side also.. just like Manyata said in a few days back episode, we don't know how and who runs his business and his hotels.. Despite knowing this loop holes in the story and bringing it to focus by Manyata' s dialogue, why are the CV s not rectifying this? For example in the last episode although the shopping scene was cute in a way, it somehow didn't have much of a charm in terms of the type of characters involved…. Really lol…. on the day of their engagement, its shown that the Uvraj of jaigar, Udeyveer Singh is asking his fianc and sister and bro in-law to go to shopping because his wife to be might like to buy some sarees and takes them to a mall( which by the way looked like an ordinary mall where I feel no royal would go for shopping ) and hangs around while they choose sarees… that's very pathetic even if it's done to show how much he loves Manyata.. instead, it could have been shown that he has to go to some business dinner with some people in some grand hotel, not necessarily his hotel( after all, that engagement was something planned suddenly so he would be having prior commitments) and asks Manyata to come along with him.. and Manyata can be shown to finally fine dine with Udey and his associates in the manner a real royal is supposed to do so.. if these type of scenes are not shown at some point, somewhere in the story, what s the point of all those training she had in order to become a rajkumari earlier in the serial?. . And Akash /Aryan could have taken Tara to the same hotel (since he is also a multimillionaire) for a dinner and there Manyata sees them, if Manyata seeing Aryan is the end result they wanted.. if this type of scenes are created it would show the stature of Udey veer, what he does as a living and what Manyata is born to be a part of… and the stature of the show itself.

The stature and uniqueness of this serial should be developed side by side with Udey and Manyata's love story. And at the same time in between, some high drama tracks which has mass appeal also should be thrown in, because other than Manveer love story and their chemistry, that's what would appeal to the general public and would increase the TRP s as well... for example that BRij- Philip deal is a thing which they can explore further with something like this…. with Brij again being manipulated by Philip and him asking Manyata to go ahead with that deal and Manyata for sometime getting carried away in doing something in favour of her father's wishes and agreeing for the deal.. but Devgar people comes to know about this and starts a big revolt against them and finally Manyata realizing that its not a good thing to do to the people of Devgar and doing whats right for her people instead of her father.. and Udeyveer supporting her in her decision and helping her and in the process gaining her trust further more.. these type of tracks although a bit common in movies etc , would have mass appeal to all types of people and increase Trp s.

And some other tracks and twists should also be brought in which showcases challenges faced by a modern day royal family trying hard to maintain their royal prestige and stature while some people tries to destroy that.. and while these things happens some people within the family can be shown to take bad decisions which are in favour of their selfish needs ( people like giri, jay and brij) while others like manyata, DS and Udey are also shown to fight for their privilege but at the same time do whats right also… these aspects are highly needed in this story.. because without these things the story becomes just like any other boring story.

Really this serial has so much potential to be developed into a very unique and high standard story but its not executed that way

Even the Aryan/Akash track if they wanted to develop it further, it could be done in a unique way.. if Aryan is shown to be coming back simply to take revenge from Udeyveer for the love of Manyata, it becomes too common and simple and boring.. but instead although he s initially shown to compete with Udey veer for Manyata, if in the end its shown that his main aim of revenge is because he hates royals and feels that they are not good to the common people and so wants to destroy them including Manyata herself, that becomes more interesting and unique... the character of Tara is also very boring at the moment. Tara and Aryan's politician father s character can also be developed in a better way with some interesting twists to the story.. and its high time DS is shown to come back and be with Manyata and Udey guiding them through these types of things they face.. Because, her powerful character is another aspect which is very essential to this story.

Coming to Manveer, if the growth of Manyata' s love for Udey and her acceptance of him is shown to be due to these type of challenges they face, then it becomes much better.. because she s a Uvrani and she has to realize that her life partner should be someone who is from the same background as her and someone who can help and guide her in future also in the kind of situations and challenges that she would face as a Uvrani… till now she hasn't realized this aspect and appreciated Udey for being who he is.. if she realizes this and accepts Udey because he is perfect for her in every way, then its much better than portraying Akash in a real villain avtar and as a result Manyata accepting Udey who is now not a villain.

And its high time that even Jayanandini' s character is developed in a better way. Its time she stopped her obsession with Udey and her never ending quest to separate Manveer... of course she can still be shown as jealous of Manyata and Udey' s love because its difficult to let go of something like that but her character can be developed in a way so that she now focuses on family and Riyasat and challenges Manyata in the affairs of riyasat.. her character was earlier also shown to be selfish and spoilt but she always had a high regard for family and riyasat.. so that aspect can be developed and she can be shown to challenge Manyata in ways which she feels is good for riyasat but which actually is a bit selfish.

Just hoping and wishing DEK to develop and attain new heights and new dimensions in a unique way so that it appeals to all kind of people and all age groups of people as well… because after all, no matter who we are, our life is not complete without the daily dose of some fantasy in the form of some serial, movie or a book. And DEK story line has the potential to be developed into a modern day fairytale cum star crossed love story in the back drop of very interesting challenges and problems faced by two modern day royal families and it s future rulers..and how those two rulers finally finds their soul mates in each other and how they learn to face everything together and grow in love and stature together… but its not being really executed in this way right now and its becoming just like any other story or love story.. sigh..

Well i know cvs have execution flaws and direction failures, but again its just a story, they would show the things that we viewers necessary to know.They would show them work or dine until it does have any connection with the track.

pls do comment , give your opinions and if possible do something to make the CV s realize that the uniqueness of the serial is getting lost day by day.

thanks for the reply. i am sorry if i have offended your sentiments in someway.. but it looks like you have misunderstood what i was trying to convey..
i agree that its a show and its difficult to convey somethings. but when somethings related to the unique story line is not portrayed , it loses the essence of the story.
i have to disagree on what you said about Udey not working because he s a Prince. In modern day especially in India even the prince s are working and running businesses and thats one way they maintain their high profile life. and its not demeaning to them...in terms of finance, theses days not much comes with their royal title.. and in the initial part of the story Udhey was shown at his hotel running the things. but that part of his life is missing these days,. i also agree that he would have people under him doing things for him but he has to see to the things.. and even a king runs his empire and makes all the decisions regarding his state isn't it?
And Dears . i am not aginst Manveer alliance. i also want that to happen in the story and feel that its an integral part of the story.. but i feel that the way its happening and its being executed is not fitting to the story.. like i said in my post,some interesting twists and happenings has to be brought into the story line which showcase that Manyata still has to learn a lot about politics(which is also an integral part of their life) and sees how Udey manages such situations and there by comes to admire him and starts to appreciate him, like him once again and fall in love with him this way, instead of simply portraying Akash as an evil person and therefore Manyata starting to feel that Udey is better than him and therefore falls in love with him, which i feel is the way the track is going to go.. i hope i am wrong and it doesn't go that way.
Like Wendy said the track of manyata s make over, and her initial bonding with udey and jay s plots to separate them and be the Uvrani herself, all were brought side by side and that part of the story was unique and beautiful.. similar thing can be made to happen even now by bringing some unique things side by side.
Hope i am making sense.
And hope that like both of you are saying positive things do happen in the story including some interesting politics.. not just Manyata agreeing to marry Udey because of the contract.. Thats a mature decision she made and i also agree with that plot also.. but now at this point in the story some more interesting things should be brought into the story side by side with Udey and Manyata s love and bonding.. and other characters like Jay also should be made to undergo a change instead of repeating the same things over and over... thats what i meant.
