I agree with you Sarah. Jay was a baby when Manyata was kidnapped. She had never seen Manyata before in her life. And all of a sudden everyone starts to forget her over a person she only been told was her sister. To her it was like she never had a sister, or someone was just lying and she had learnt to ignore.
She also had everything nearly. She had Uday, her family loved her- she had all the atention. And then suddenly a poor girl comes in and takes away her status, lowering her. All the attention to her suddenly disappears, and horrible things happen to her.
I Agree when you say that we would act the same if we were in her place. To be honest no one would want to experience all those. To have all their dreams ruined to someone you've always heard to be your lost sister. Someone who you'd never think was your sister, a girl you would ignore.
But I do hope that later on in DEK, they make Jay a more positive character. That Jay will soon trust Manyata, even though it will take time. And that she isn't selfish anymore. And I am quite certain that day will come, because you can't always be selfish your entire life. I hope Manyata teaches her how to be kind and more like her, if not completely all...😳
