Symbolism in Today's Epi
I'm sure all of you already had taken notice. Nonetheless, there were certain indicators of Akash's exit that pointed towards his further departure from M's life. The picturization of the scene was that of one where a lover is walking away from the life of his beloved, taking nothing but a bouquet of memories. When he turns, it's like he wants to catch a final glimpse, the last memory that will complete his compilation. There is a reminiscent tinge in the way he gazes at her – a mixture of affection, uncertainty, and strange calm. Her face is etched with a deep smile, and every inch of her features shines with unabashed content. Even when she waves goodbye to him, unknown to her, there is a tone of resolution – much like the closing scene of a play, or film. Also, notice how he is on the far side, moving away from the picture, while she stands next to her family. In essence, he is leaving behind the Moniya that he has known – and despite callous acts of over-confidence (in my humble opinion – his imprisonment fiasco) – loved in some corner of his heart. The woman who is waving her hand at him, is someone who is already casting into Rajkumari Manyata. And, of course, as the sapno ka rajkumar bids adieu, in comes the haqeeqat ka rajkumar. Uday's persona is indefinable, but it is clear that he has a distinct role in future of Manyata's life. What direction their relationship will take is yet to be seen, but undoubtedly, he shares the same frame with her, and, right beside her.
DS may have been the director of the final Act, but the conclusion was illustrated by fate itself. In entirety, the scene was momentous – the closing of one chapter/story, to start another. However, as we know, memories don't die. I don't think Akash is gone forever (not quite yet at least), but the under-tone of the final scene presents a look into the future of ManVeer.
"You can't lose what you never had, you can't keep whats not yours and you can't hold on to something that does not want to stay."

P.S. Loved how Manyata offered UV gulab jamun (my favourite!), calling him mere saday hue papitay – sense of entitlement is evident. And, she offered it to him before everyone else!
Cheers,
