so my Dad asks me if I sent my special friend an e-card for Valentines Day. I told him I did after he sent me one.

Dad: You should have sent him one first.

Me: Dad you know the guy is supposed to do it first in the beginning of the relationship.

Dad: Yes beta you are right.

Me: You should take my side I am your daughter. Guys are supposed to try harder in this stage.

Dad: Yes don't worry I am on your side.

Also before this I was looking to see if my Dad brought flowers for my Mom. I didn't see any.

Me: Dad where are the flowers for Mom?

Dad: I don't believe in giving flowers.

Me: She must be upset.

Dad: She got everything anyway. I got her scratch offs. She goes shopping almost everyday.

Do I need to watch television, I think not. My family is an entertaining package.🤣

So, on Friday I got my hair cut, and had to get my eyebrows done (the pain of being a girl! gaahh!)

That afternoon while My mom and I were driving back home. (this was in Punjabi btw, so it was hellofa lot funnier)

Mom: Reeha, you're dad is going to get mad at me.

Me: Why?

Mom: He told me you can't get your eyebrows done yet.

Me: Why, he's never had a problem before? I go all the time.

Mom: He said I should have stopped you.

Me: Why?

Mom: Because Valentine's Day is coming up.

Me: LOL (I know why he said it but I still ask) But why?

Mom: He said there is no trusting Girls!

Later that night...

Me: Soo daddy...I shouldn't get my eyebrows done because of Valentine's day? Right?

Dad: Forget the Eyebrows! Look at your hair! Tell me right now who you're trying to impress Reeha!.

____

So, my father is perpetually suspicious that I'm seeing someone. It's a soap in itself😆

I need to get my eyebrows done soon too. Anyways we are Punjabi but we had this whole conversation in English. my Dad is funny and he didn't suspect anything in December when I got my haircut and eyebrows done. The thing is I rarely get these things done, my sister and Mom go more than I can. So in my case he tells me go every month if you can🤣. He wants my Mom to cut down and he knows my sister won't lol

Hello Everyone🤗Sonali and Reeha you are so right. Feb comes and my mom starts tracking my moves. She is fine for the rest of the year. Sometimes when v have these conversations in punjabi i sitting there thinking this is not really happening. This is normal life...these things are supposed to happen in daily soaps only.

@soanli...read and replied...it was awesome...I was reading it with my friends as v r ditching all guys this V-day and one of them txted her bf after reading ur OS and saide will he be happy if she just dressed up for him and said I love u? Poor guy calls and asks is that a trick question? We explained what v read. he was fine as long as she was fine if he did the same thing for her...a lot easy on his pocket😆
