For some reason I think the succession is going to be decided by DS. It may be that DS's husband disqualified Brij after he ran over Murari's family or some such indiscretion. Otherwise, if Brij was going to be the heir and he already had a second child, the search for the first Princess would not be so vital. From what I understand, while Brij is disqualified from actually inheriting the throne, his first child would be the direct heir.
