hello guyz well i m new in this forum...i m watching the show for some time...indeed its a good show to watch...i like manyata's family alot a very poised calm and dignified family but certainly i dont understand y this manyata and uday marriage alliance so important for the royals...DS is intellegent and sensible woman so y did she fixed her grand daughter marriage in such a tender age ???? what if manyata grew up in the kingdom and fall is love with other guy how would rajmata deal such serious situation no offense but isnt it infringement of indiviual right ?
until there is matter of life and deadth such promises shouldnt be made... its totally unfair to manyata... so seriously cant get it y a mature and sensible lady like DS had taken such important decision of manyata's life without her consent? what's the fish?
guyz do share ur views

p.s. who selected the lead pair😕 akash looks much older to manyata i think Uday is much better 😛
no offense to akash fans😳

Normally royal marriages are fixed at a tender age only. The alliances have not only financial and social implications but also political impact. In this case, in their society if UV &M get married, then the two royal families together will get a lot of social political clout. It is important for DS's family that the two daughters get married into a family that is sympathetic to them.

BR and GR would have initiated a lot of businesses in partnership and the financial futures of both the families would be tied together.

However, it is not that the marriage is a unchangeable decision. It is more like a declaration of intent. In this case it is quite probable that DS has had an influence over how UV is educated and his grooming. But like I said, the marriage is not "fixed". Which is why tracing Monya before J's "Roka" ceremony was so important.

A "Roka" is not an engagement but a formal declaration to the society that this particular girl would be getting married to the particular guy sometime in future. It is more like a "Betrothal" than an "Engagement". It also means that from that point forward both the families would not entertain any marriage proposals for the girl or the guy.

As of now, there is no formal ceremony conducted regarding UV and M. It is pure conjecture and mutual understanding. UV has shown no inclination to withdraw from the understanding entered into by his parents. M has given no indication that she is not interested in UV, so far. The family therefore assumed that the decision that they had taken for the children's future was acceptable to all.

Now it remains to be seen if UV will be interested in M any further or if the family would want to withdraw from this alliance. Though, I don't think that is likely to occur.

Hey Arti...valid point u know...but i think i know the reason y this marriage is so important...i feel that they are "ROYALS" n most importantly "Rajputs"...for them it matters a lot to keep their word...they cannot break a promise once taken...Even in the movie Jodha Akbar we saw that Jodha was bethroted to some other Rajput Prince in her childhood...but a change of luck...n she became "Mallika-e-Hindustan"...so thats the case...

But i would like to add that when they had given up hope that Manyata could not be found, they were willing to get J married off to Udaybeer...n now that she has returned, they are after her to marry Udaybeer...that shows that feelings don't matter to them...but Honour n keeping their word does...

N anyways i don't like Akash-Manyata's pairing anyway...they have a very bland n insipid chemistry...so i would favour Udaybeer n Manyata as a couple ANY TIME!!!

LOL...what Akash fans? It's nice to know that even though you are a recent viewer you immediately caught on that Uday is more hero material than dear old Akash...;)

I am watching this show from the beginning and in one of the earliest episodes when the royals are having a meeting...both royal families were present, someone mentioned why Brijraj's father (DS's husband) made Manyata the heir to the throne? DS remained quite on that one, she didnt give an explanation.
Possibly the royal grandfather knew his son Brijraj was a violent man, unworthy of ruling over the kingdom,... if u notice Brijraj is always getting angry and threatening to kill people...and he also ran over and killed Murari's wife and kid while driving drunk...so he was unworthy of inheriting the kingdom. Thats why DS's husband, the royal grandpa, made Manyata the heir apparent and fixed her marriage with prince of Jaygadh, Prince Udayveer and they had a roka when they were mere kids. That way when they grew up they would get married and rule both kingdoms together!

I hope this answers ur question?😊
