I felt that today they progressed the story - but half baked.

It was very unsettling both the events and how they took place (whether you're a Uday or Akash fan).

Family finding out about Akash - and the way they did, the time they did - They hadn't even developed their relationship with Moniya so well. They needed to work on this more. I wanted them to have a bigger impact shock. It would have been interesting. Right now, they don't understand their daughter.

Now they won't trust Moniya not matter what. The story will be less dynamic and one-sided (about getting Uday-Moniya married, controlling Moniya - interesting, but won't be enough to pull audiences).

I didn't expect Uday to reveal Akash infront of the entire family - I thought he loved his ego tooo much for that. I thought that he would see Akash today, but blackmail Moniya/Akash and use it to his advantage.

The laila majnu thing wasn't carried off stonger. I felt sorry for Akash, but Moniya was not compelling.

Jai tasting success - what type. The only thing coming from this is that Moniya will be forced up against Uday. Where does Jai see herself?

Moniya may try to run away from the mansion - and Uday will constantly blackmail her.

what next...

I think:
  • The writers still needed to develop the relations with Moniya et family
  • Uday - Moniya still needed some confrontations
  • Akash needs to be understood carefully
  • Uday needs to fall in love for real
  • Unnati needs to pitch in

I think Arya said it the best "This was the end of the first chapter" and I can see why- it was dramatic, left an open ending, and raw. I can see why it had to happen the way it did: Manyata needs to grow with her family and learn- but she can do it only will she is given a chance to change. She is stuck between two realities with Akash: One where she is "Monia" the other where she is "Manyata" She can't be BOTH, and with Akash gone, atleast temporarily, she can start progressing towards the "Manyata".

Uday loves himself, that's true, but he was wounded enough to do what would hurt Manyata the MOST:
Take what she loves, and ensure she can't get it back.
It is a recipe any predator knows will work, it hurts the most, and is the sweetest revenge. It isn't about ego- it's about getting even and then some.
I think there is a reason why this happened now, and not later: They cut off the ties while still young, and not later when they are stronger. This still leaves room for Akash to come back, as a stronger charecter, and allows Manayta to grow: It leaves the way for stronger conflict down the road.
I don't see M and UV getting married yet, it simply won't happen this soon: but I can see them reaching an Understanding. UV won't love her, he won't fall inlove yet: the wounds are too raw, and the flesh still bleeding; and Manyata won't love him, because she's still bleeding from the wound Akash's absence has left.
Maybe they can heel eachother, over time?

Great post!
I feel that it has happened at the right time because she has been deceiving her family for so many days & now it's time for her to face the reality- the consequences of what she's been doing. Its true that her relationship with her family has not developed totally & i was fearing as to what will happen after this incident, but i guess it was best it happened this way. Her transformation was never fully possible with Akash in her life. Now, she may be unhappy for sometime & may even rebel again, but her transformation will happen. Things are not going to work her way & she will actually start realizing what she did, as her family members are not going to trust her stories.
And Uday revealing her was totally expected, in my opinion. Because he had told her that he will make her cry & she would regret her actions & she did. Also, he used his brain. He knew that his blackmailing would not help anymore. So, he revealed Akash, allowing DS to actually take the lead in the situation.
Hmm.. and the laila-majnu bit was too much. I was shocked when she held Akash's hand infront of everyone. She did not even care about her family's honour or dignity. She seriously needed that separation!
All in all, it was a great episode today :)
looking forward to see what happens tomorrow.

I disagree Nivi. We've all repeatedly remarked that Aakash was the stumbling block in M's development. He was projecting his insecurities on her and keeping her from developing a normal relationship with her family. He was the one who was dinning constantly in her head that the family was against her and they were caging her. His removal was necessary for M's transformation.

M anyway has been given too much leverage. The family trusted her and she chose to betray them. Let alone a royal family, no self respecting family would accept a man hiding in their daughter's room. Would such an incident be acceptable to Murari? Didn't he lock up Monya and threaten Aakash to stay away from his daughter? So if Aakash could accept the restrictions placed by Muarari, why did he think he got the right to defy the royal family? Why mix-up status and wealth into this issue? His intentions and actions were not those of a self-respecting honorable man and he deserved to be thrown out.

As for the family not developing their relationship, did Monya and Aakash give them the time to understand each other,or get to know each other? Aakash was monopolizing M and poisoning her mind against the family and even teaching her tricks to fool them. So it's not the family's fault that the relationship was not matured.

As for UV exposing the two, UV did not expose, he played the catalyst. It was Monya who did it all to herself. UV would've dealt the same way if he found someone hiding in Unnzie's bedroom or J's bedroom for that matter. Monya might blame UV for now, I see a drifting apart and actual love-hate track between MaanVeer for a few episodes at least. But I would definitely not say that UV doesn't love Manyata. He loves her and has from the first day.

What I see now, is UV wiping away Aakash from Manyata's heart. Like he said, she's not Monya, she's Manyata and its time for the caterpillar to die, so the butterfly cam emerge, and in between comes the cocoon stage where the delicate creature hides from the world.

I agree ..nice post 😃

I feel Uday has feelings for Manyata deeper than he thinks ..he waited for her and avoided committing to anyone.
Family has done a lot too for their lost daughter..they deserve better..

Its high time she realizes her responsibilities..

I think it happened at the right time.

One - Manyata slowly began becoming close to her family and it left them at ease. They kinda became lenient with her. The result? Full of shattering of the trust! At least they realized that for Manyata to become a princess, more than love and some strictness is needed.

Two - Aakash needed a reality check. Which he got today. Ok, at tome points the jail track was uncalled for but...!

Three - Uday was wounded. His pride was destroyed. Whatever he did today, the beating and the throwing Aakash to the jail, it was all controlled by his wounded pride. Manyata wasn't fair with him. Why should he be fair with her?

Regarding ManVeer? Well, they always had a long way to go! The bubbly feelings that Uday felt for Manyata are now gone. Manyata's fantasy of being with Aakash is now burst. Every character in the show is a at a new point now. It's a full on U-turn. The ride has became more interesting. It's just a wait and watch scenario. It'll be fun to watch, not just as a fan but for the general audience as well.

I think in this way Moniya will only start/continue to hate the royal family (DS and Uday) even more than she currently does.

She will be more full of resentment and revenge than love/appreciation.

I think the flaw is more in character development. The timing was a bit snappy.

Monya will definitely throw a lot of tantrums, but how is that different from a 3-yr old who's refused a piece of chocolate? Do we allow a child to play with fire just because he'll cry when we stop him?

If Monya throws a tantrum, how will she be any different from the teenager who's accused her mother "You just don't understand" and storms into her room? Does the mother allow her daughter to go to a rave party in order to avoid that scene?

Yes Monya will cry, and scream and rave and rant and the family will bring her round. That is part of growing up. It is even more a part of growing up in a family that cares for you.
