Hello,
First thing , what is this whole hoo-haa about Maali Kaka getting fired? What is wrong in it morally and ethically that he was suspended from his job looking at what he did in cahoots with Maanyata to UV? Poverty and age are no excuse for judgment of right and wrong. Before getting on an emotional bandwagon, one should remember that when an action is 'wrong', it is 'wrong'. Maali Kaka is just as guilty as Maanyata when it came to to the allergy attack prank. He knew those flowers were poisonous , he saw what Maanyata was doing with a suppressed grin and he kept standing doing nothing when UV came down with the attack. So, tell me one good reason that Maali Kaka should not have been fired? How many of us are going to keep a gardener in our gardens who is party to you and I smelling poisonous flowers and then coming down with dots that make us look like a red dalmatian ( with no offence to how Ashish/UV looked) ? Nobody. You will fire that man on the spot. Yes, Maanyata should have been punished too but i guess she will pay back for all this with a pound of flesh if UV's serious determination is anything to go by.
Now, why did I pick up this point? I picked up this point because rulers are not always made of sentiments and chocolate mousse like emotions. A powerful king is about excellence at political chess moves, is about strength , is about decisions , is about ruthless justice , is about a powermatic persona that commands and demands respect and bows. That is why UV is the stuff that a leader is made of. If Kaka was wrong , he was fired. If Maanyata is crossing her limits , she will be dealt with in a conniving but serving her right manner. UV is ruled by ambition and leadership and they are the roots of a ruler.
Maanyata , on the other hand may care two hoots about UV even landing up in an ICU since she is not sentimentally attached to him. But keeping that myopic and selective insensitivity aside , she is truly a people's princess as UV had once called her. She feels for the underprivileged and the downtrodden , she stands up for them, she fights for their rights even though its an extremely thoughtless action this time due to instigation by Vijay . She has selective affections , agreed but you cannot question her kindness when it comes to her feeling for real. She knew that it was majorly her fault that all that happened to UV and she was sentimentally brave enough to accept it.
Point? Rulers are also made of an all encompassing human bond that makes them sensitive to the needs and lives of the other people. They don't rule by sword all the time and use the emotional connect as well to keep their people together. An understanding ruler is about compassion, empathy and kindness. That is why Maanyata is the true princess because she knows the power of the common man and believes that you can fight , no matter what your station is in life.
AND ... That is why ManVeer are an ideal King-Queen pairing. When AUTHORITY and AFFECTION go hand-in-hand, that is when successful reigns are established. UV is the authority and Maanyata is the affection . While UV will learn from Maanyata that emotions are not a crime , Maanyata will learn from UV that leadership is not just all heart , its the head too.
As for their war , well, i am not siding with anyone because they both have jumped into the mud and now they can do anything to each-other. But I will still say that even though we will see Maanyata winning the everyday battles, the war's victory crown might rest on UV's head.
P.S- Can I just slap Pakaash and Jaanwar and ask Amma if this is all that she learned in her young age? What kind of a man , friend or neighbouring cockroach tells you to go against your flesh and blood? What kind of a wise old woman enjoys a girl dissing her home and her own family? And what kind of a girl throws herself on a man who was never hers and rubs it in her face all the time? PATHETIC LOW LIVES .
