If we simplify and look at what matters most to an average person it is safety , security and economics. John Mccain has war experience , has record in politics and has the highest rating from U.S. chamber of commerce out of all three . Democrats on the other hand have tax and spend policy and Obama wants to roll back Bush tax cuts that benefit many american companies , has scanty 3+ year record on national level, is most liberal politician in Washington, almost no experience in foreign affairs and has promised everything to everyone without a plan in place for paying for it all. He is currently enjoying cult like following and momentum and frankly it worries me to see someone like him in charge of red phone and red button. May be after 10 years he would seem like a right candidate. Hillary has managed to turn off lot of her supporters by playing dirty politics with Obama and was never the one I could have voted for .

Any president from power point of view, will have same powers, as they are defined in the constitution and in law and for me it will have to be McCain for president. As in most things in life , the one with the experience wins imo.
