Action packed video games like Halo, Doom, Quake or any less famous but war games etc ... promote physcologically agressive behaviour patterns among players?

Having game on mind 24/7 negatively impacts kids/adults?

Yeah Agreed Depends on Type of games, but GTA is good 😳 😆

Yeah crazy stuff happens to people when they watch or play too many violent Video Games.

I guess for Adults, cant say whether they are impacted, but for Kids definitely they are! So for them playing 24/7 is not a good thin to play agressive games.

Games come with age limit, but that is overcome if Kids go to other friends houses play the game there or their own parents do not mind it.

Playing games yeah it does open the mind in all ways, but over-playing on PS3 is a bad thing. 😳

Kids learn good and bad habits. So constant Agressive violent games= bad thing.

I remember that case here, where a 9 and 10 year old boy, kidnapped a 2 year old from a shopping centre. did horrible things to him, and killed him and left him on a train track.

Their defemce was that they got it off a video game 😳

So seeing that case, i think some can be too extreme for kids, and maturity levels differ in everyone to take it only as a game and not to repat in real.

I disagree that video games can lead to violent or aggressive behavior or frame of mind. Video games can interfere in life and distract from responsibilities but it does not change the psychology of people.

Most gamers know that a video game is just a game. It does not depict reality and they cannot expect life to be like games. Game violence is simply a channel. It is a healthy way to release frustrations and anger in real life. If something happens that upsets you, some time of intense gaming serves to cleanse the system. I know tons of gamers and most would not even harm a fly in real life.

Aggression and violence usually stems from upbringing and culture. In the movie 'Bowling for Columbine' Michael Moore points out several countries where gaming is more intense, violent and uncensored compared to the United States. Yet violent outbursts are more common in USA. The cause is societal conditioning in the states and the lack of social stability. Europe and Asia have strong family structures that help good social development of children so nothing influences them to be delinquent. In the United States children do not have that backing and grow up without good social development. Most people who tend to get aggressive due to violence in games do so because they do not have a strong backing of family and friends keeping them socially grounded and morally informed. These are the ignored, troubled teens.

As we become less and less involved in social development of teens, we feel that protecting them from violence will keep them balanced. Think of children's entertainment in the past Spiderman, batman, he-man, gi-joe, transformers - all action oriented. Even Looney toons and disney had massive amounts of cartoon violence (remember all the ACME dynamite) which they are no longer allowed to have. Yet despite our efforts to provide cleaner, educating entertainment crime rate and violence increases.

Something must be wrong with society, not the entertainment.

^^^See Your point, Agreed in most ppl wont harm a fly and does not change physchology of people.

People are influenced in many different ways. Lols i learn a lot studying psychology, but what about Kids?

When You see Kids 'Testing out a move', they have seen on a game they were playing? So Games can influence them. 😳

Proof: My lil Bro 😆 thinking he is the next jackie Chan as he used to do Judo...so I am sure if we let him play these violent games, God knows what he would do to me.😉

Something wrong with society, not entertainment- Well extreme Entertainment is where society can go wromg, works both ways 😉
