Dear Friends!!

Namaste !!

India's 60th year of independence is going to be celebrated in few days!!!Still there are crores of people below poverty line. Its amazing rather distressing to know that still some villages donot have power and proper transport facilities! On the other side India is making considrable contributions in the field of Science and technology!

Do you think India really developed to the level it needed to be?

What are things that make you declare proudly that you are from the land India?

What are thet things you are ashamed of being an Indian?

What are the factors that are preventing India to reach the developed countries rank?

Can a common make any difference to his/her society?

Please answer these questions and hope we can share our knowledge and ideas on this sincerely.

Jaihind!

Congratulations to India and Indians on completing 60 years of Independence..😊

Do you think India really developed to the level it needed to be?

India is definitely making large strides towards development and I think we have done a very good job, considering the centuries of slavery that we were subjected to...Sure we still have a long way to go, however we shouldn't forget that it was just 60 years..

What are things that make you declare proudly that you are from the land India?

Everything that made India, India...Be it the culture,The Vedas, the people, the Unity in diversity are a few amongst many other things which make me proud to be an Indian...

What are thet things you are ashamed of being an Indian?

I am not ashamed of being an Indian..Every country has its short comings and what matters is whether we have guts enough to own them up and overcome them..

What are the factors that are preventing India to reach the developed countries rank?

Ermm, first of all who is making these ranks???I don't believe in this so called 'rank' system..However, like I said- its been just 60 years after centuries of slavedom and pray don't get down to judging as yet...Of course, for us to be self sufficient the factors that need special attention are:
1.Agriculture 2.Tourism 3.Eradicating corruption at the lower level 4.Education for all( no reservations that is)5.Focus on the means and ways to control the 'Brain drain'...

Can a common make any difference to his/her society?

Yes of course...What is a country if we discount its people???Who is going to make the difference if not the common man... 😊

Nice topic...😊

Cheers,
Raksha

The thing I am most ashamed of as an Indian are the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. Indian people are some of the most hardworking people in the world. But all the misdeeds of these corrupt people takes us at least 10 steps backward for each forward step that we make. The other thing that shames me is that even after India being independent for so many years the Indian woman is still waging her war of Independence. And the worst part is that her opponent is usually another woman who wants to tie here down to the yoke of conservatism. The girl child is still treated as a second class citizen in her own house by her own parents in most Indian homes. This chauvinistic attitude shames me deeply.

Yes your answer is so inspirational like the message in Shankar's films but in the current scenario can a common man really make difference in India😕

    Nice topic...😊

Whatever you have said is perfectly true. The issues of

  1. corruption
  2. Ill treatment of girl child (in some parts of India) are really very digressing!!! As you said these factors are taking back India instead of moving forward

Do you think India really developed to the level it needed to be?

In some fields. Technology and Tourism are two fields India has made major development in which is at par with other developed nations...may be better.

What are things that make you declare proudly that you are from the land India?

I am a proud Indian.😃

What are thet things you are ashamed of being an Indian?

Dowry, Reservation quota

What are the factors that are preventing India to reach the developed countries rank?

Corruption, Extremism

Can a common make any difference to his/her society?

It is not easy but in many ways like by refusing to bribe, uniting against such evils of society. It is not always successful like the AIMS agitation where the students were left to starve. Had more people joined them and media being stronger in supporting such causes we can make a big difference. Media along with common man can make a lot of difference.
