Hello Everyone!

Fighting hard with very hectic schedule, thanks for pms, am very mush here, thanks again!

RE: Topic

Socializing is way to know other beings in one's society. Socializing including how one related and make friendly relationships with other folks. Couldn't get a defination of this term but I know we all understand what socializing mean.

Socializing is going on group meets / picnics and get to know people, nah its not for the scope of this debate, going to dandiya / any other place to get 😉

My Debateable point: -

Does socializing on virtual world weigh more then socializing in real world, keeping in mind busy lives ?

Meeting people face to face makes socializing complete and fills that huge void that exists when one socializes in virtual world. Virtual socializing gives instant gratification as it is easy to chat/email on demand and frequently , much more then it is possible in real life. but eventually one has to meet in person from time to time to feel truely connected to the person.

I agree! but with time constrint life... if one gets same level of response from friends on virtual world. makes me think. Time limitation is key here!

I pick real world over virtual anyday.
Yes, virtual is easier you can IM or email people in seconds. But how do you get to see their personal expressions, the tone of their voice. I think human warmth needed by all humans is only possible in real world. In today's society people are so wrapped up in technology that we are forgetting what it is like to just sit in a coffee shop and talk for hours with someone one-on-one.
Yes, virtual world is easier but it is the real world that really makes a difference in life. And the truth is even if you are busy, you can always go see people that you care for even if it is for 5 minutes.
Just My Opinions! 😃

I think that although virtual socializing has some good points like the person you are talking to gets to judge you by your personality and your ideas, while when you meet people face to face, they may judge you by your looks and your clothes. But socializing in the real world I think is a lot more satisfying because you can see the person your talking to's expressions and sense their feelings by their voices.

I just love your topics Anshu for I find myself relating to them.👏

Socializing in virtual world can be at times dangerous and heartbreaking. However if one exercises caution and judgement and corresponds with people on good sites such as IF, one can change their opinion about the virtual friends. I became active less than a year ago on IF but today I can proudly say that I have made very genuine sincere friends who cheer me up day in and out. We chat on YM and compare notes and we feel for one another. Few of these friends have now become my real friends. I was fortunate enough to also find a virtual friend via work email five years ago and have met this friend. We have experienced instances when we have been thinking the same thoughts and have felt when something was not quite right with the other.

The most important aspect I find with my virtual friends is that they are there to lend me a listening ear and their support when I have been either too tired or have had no time for my real friends in my City. Virtual friends are also living humanbeings with their own life and daily stress. There is no pressure to meet someone for coffee, lunch etc. when one does not feel like.

To sum up, I donot consider my virtual friends any less than my real friends. Neither do I find the need to prove myself to them. Socializing with my virtual friends is much easier when I am too tired from studies to go out and socialize with them. I have turned down meeting my real friends just because I have no time or am too tired.😛

Virtual or Real world? I agree that meeting personally is more perfect way to socialise. But keeping in mind that we are living in an age of hectic schedule, virtualy socialising will be prefered by anyone. Just imagine a person who is working 10-12 hours a days and having 9 hours of sleep and other personal stuff, would hardly have enough time to socialise anyone personally. In this case (which is applicable for most of people now a days) virtually socialising will be prefered. Atleast something is better than nothing. 😛
