I think there is no replacing AB... Shahrukh with his funny face and vibrating vocal cords can only worsen tthings...Sadly there is no one with charisma and presentation skills as AB sr... I think even AB jr could be better than our SRK....

Ani, Dilip kumar had the looks and talent, rajesh khanna had hte looks and style, AB has the style, talent and personality, Whats SRK got..Agreed he is popular.. but thats it... He is like the one, nobody can really factor the reasons for his success... Hrithik would have been my choice but he squeals when he talks... Aishwarya could be another but then everybody will make up excuses to get a hug from her...😆... abhi bacha kaun... So I felt AB sr should be back...the elegance and style he got to KBC... made a difference which cant be compared to ka ka ka kiiiran... u c..😆...

Sometimes its sheer luck which gets to too far - rajendra kumar, asha parekh, Jeetendra, Mithun, Rishi kapoor, SRK all are just lucky... 😆

You would be surprised😉. I know a few who would much rather give up their chance to be in the hot seat if its going to be Aishwariya on the other side. I could name a few from the DM itself. Samajhdar ko ishara hi kafi😉😆

oh but didnt you hear? SRK replaced AB. in KBC. 😛

for most of the 90s, AB had a string of flop movies. he could not carry any movie on his own then, what to say of now. even in the 80s, from what i've seen he needed the prop of multi-starrers where others would end up stealing the show. anyways, he's a has-been now. SRK is the in-thing. 😉

most movies which tried to project only AB as a star flopped barring a few exceptions. even his older movies that did well were multi-starrers where others stole the scene from under him, whether it was sanjeev kumar, dharmender, vinod khanna or even zeenat aman.😉

SRK is the only one who has gone from one relatively unknown actress to another (from kajol and rani at the time) and pulled sales on his own. does not need a lot of other actors and side-kicks to sell.

as for SRK, he has been badshah for over 10 years. undisputed #1. and for a longer period i think than AB.😉

that the indian cinema music was at its worst because if there was AB in the movie.....nothing else was required.........everything else was a showpiece be it the music or the other star cast.

AB is one of the most powerful stars of Bollywood ,few have been able to do what he did actually no body has done it so far......😊Even in his 60s if he is on the screen then he overshadows everyone else....👏

not necessarily a good thing. too much lime-light on him takes away from the movie. everything about him, from his dancing to the novelty of his goatee, have gotten stale. which is why i think the producers of KBC dumped him 😉

powerful? how so? SRK, Amir Khan and various others command higher prices than him. yes, if you meant because of his political connections...😉

you cant stick to one and say no one can replace one then this world woldnt have grown or progressed...

learning to accept changes & experimenting with new ideas is the true competitive spirit one can have...

Everyone is unique in him/herself....... yes EVERYONE is unique then why compare for similarities???

a healthy competition & discussion can be expected only when one agrees to accept the changes...

this world is dynamic - if the thoughts are static then one cannot proceed with success in this WORLD.

I just fail to understand what is wrong in accepting an offer coming ones way... SRK was offered both DON & KBC, he agreed thats why he made a mistake?? 😕 😕

didnt SRK do Devdas before?

I guess AB-SRK kind of debate happens because 1. general lack of acceptance of change among true fans of AB legacy - hence SRK is questioned by amitabh fans and 2. those who genuinely feel that SRK is doing a better job / equally great job retaliate in rsponse

I did not participate thus far, but all I will say to Amitabh fans is that when Amitabh became the King of Bollywood, he filled in the shoes of DILIP KUMAR and there were several DK fans who detested amitabh and said that he does nothing but merely copy DK.
Now it is Amitabh's turn to have grey hair and an esteemed legacy of his own left behind. It is also his turn to fill in old DK shoes, while leaving his young shoes for SRK 😳.
SRK fans, some day after few decades, SRK will be filling in those old shoes and grey hair too... You may be protesting against the change that day 😆 Life, as we call it.. A Circle of Life, that's all 😃
