Recently I saw some views on US Vs India in Sare section (And our agent was missing)😆

All I saw was pointing fingures to each other. What would you prefer if you are given a chance to select your country of living. And why??

Why I came here.. because my husband migrated😃

Well more oppurtunity, better medical facilties, appreciation, no labor classification, better life style etc.

To me only reason that I will ever want to go back is only beacuse of my friends and family. Which ofcourse is a big reason too. But to raise my own family, I will prefer to be here.

Before I go more, pl express your thoughts

I will continue to stay in the USA. I need no UNCALLED for advice basically. I seek it when I need it, but i India, being an older human being gives MANY the right to interfere and to preach , to make decisions and to demand and basically walk all over others. I abhor that. Good riddance of the drama.

Why I came here..

To do biomedical research, particularly in endocrine signaling pathways (not as specialized yet , and defintely wasn't 10 years ago , in many leading institutes in India)

better life style, better money did not matter then and does not matter now. In fact, life can be much easier for me back home in terms of life style, I understand that.

To me only reason that I will ever want to go back is

None. I will try to get my parents here on GC. Friends are already here and most of my family is here too. As I said, I do not like drama. Keep life simple and make up-free. Fix it, not by fake up, but fix it well where it is broken. That rarely happens in Indian relations and I have got a big problem with that.

I don't mind either. I can continue my job in India too so even if I move to India, lifestyle and professional life won't change for me. The best thing would be closer to my family. The only reason I would prefer US to India would be that I am a quiet, independent, non-interfering person and I abhor relatives interfering and providing unnecessary advice to each aspect of my life.

I prefer the US as well. I came here bcoz I got married and my husband was working here . Initially I used to badmouth america coz of what I have heard back home .

Now I think I prefer it here , The only reason why I would want to go back bcoz My family and friends are there .

why I prefer to stay here coz life is so much organised and the best part that I loved was I take responsibilty for my actions and decisions. Back home u had 5-10 relatives who would advise you on every matter and do not allow you to take responsibility and accountability for ur actions . Here I have to do my own stuff either good or bad and am accountable and responsible for it and thats what I love .

At the same time , as its the melting pot , I get to experience different traditions of people from different nations , thier cuisine and way of life and I can get everything that i get in India .

😛 Hmmmmmmm so far votes only for US 😃 For sure the system is better here. After doing a crime, u cannot escape the law (Unless you are OJ) be it Michaal jackson, Clinton, OJ. Clinton tried to hide but could not hide his affair. Now if it was India, our president /Pm would have made the girl vanish. Why go far. Our Nehru ji is known for that.

For medical facilities, you donot have to worry if you are jobless. Regardless u will ghet the treatment same way as the one with money. If you have brains, oppurtunities will knock your door. You donot have to worry about corruption in system. Life is organized.

Law and order is in place. ofcourse no country is perfect. but on a raito, US does provide better faciliteis to us SO FAR.

I was born in Pakistan but my parents moved here when I was really young... and from what I know India and Pakistan are quite similar and I don't have anything against the country and I love to go on vacation there but I wouldn't want to live there.

I think in US there are a whole lot of opportunities and talent is appreciated no matter what... There is no discrimination against women. The laws are much more powerful and are enforced... Very less crime rate compared to Asia and medical facilities are much better too.
