😆😉

In my history books Ghouri and Ghaznavi were tyrant leaders and that doesn't change my views about their followers. Just because Aurangzeb was a oppressor who ruined most of the temples why would I have hatred against people belonging to his religion? I have studied that our forefathers were under British raj for so many years but I don't hate British. I am glad that I know history.

I form my opinion based on current events. I hate people who bombed so many innocents on 9/11 attacks. I hate people who turned Kashmir into a dreaded land. I hate people who cause 7/11 attacks in Mumbai. None of my hatred is based on what I learnt in history.

If tomorrow's generation is going to learn about a glorified Osama Bin Laden🤢 for maintaining religious harmony then I wish that mankind cease to exist before that.

Pakistani textbooks portray Aurangazeb as a mighty Emperor...

Who cares what Pakistan or Nepal have in their history books? I have heard that Fiji or somewhere Sita is portrayed as Ravan's daughter in Ramayana. Who cares? We are here discussing about Indians to be specific: Indian Hindus and Indian Muslims. Why is it necessary that when we talk about Indian Muslims, Pakistanis automatically come into the picture? 1947 is a fact. Let us accept it and treat Pakistanis as foreigners just like we treat a Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan or Bangladesh.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." well i am a bit confused --- i like to think why spoil today because yesterday didnt work out well???? 😳 😳 kuhd liyka hai

i think it is common misconception to put all the blames onto one group of people ... and sick minded people exist throughout the world-- presently no one nation is perfect--- no one person is perfect.

but plzzz people if we are to make an argument we need to proper evidence of what happened-- rather than believe what a man-made book says-- it is kinda obvious that we wont write bad things about our own self in our own books--- and our rival books will protray a completely different idea.
😕

these matters are far too complex we must respect each other in the race of humanity thyan any group. 😳

FYI,

I was very close to the towers when 9/11 happened, and a few days here or there, I would have been one of the casualties of 9/11, 6 of my very close friends died in 9/11

Also both my brothers were on the train when the '93 blasts occured in Mumbai

It makes me very satisfied, that Bush took care of the people in Afghanistan, and very pissed off b'cos we have Govts in India who just sit like are enunch's contemplating what losses they might face while the victims of the attacks languish in pain and the perpetrators are laughing their way to the bank plotting another attack

hence the reason

I want the children of tommorow to know what '93 bomb blasts meant, what 9/11 meant, what Aurangzeb meant and what Babar meant and what kind of enunchs we had as our rulers to let this things perpetrate on our soil v/s someone with guts went out and did something to solve the issue

One statement is true and one is false...Thats your opinion! In my opinion both are true.. Thats My opinion!! So how do we ascertain true facts?

The most controversial of all statements stated so far would be abt Bush "Taking care of people in Afghanistan"... Now the people who hold that opinion would surely consider Bush a great man... But does killing innocent civilians amount to taking care? There are many others who believe that Bush has been the world's most irresponsible man abandoning Afghanistan midway.. There is a Taliban resurgence in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is virtually without any leadership and America couldn't care less because Afghanistan has no oil.. America just had to satisfy its hurt ego.But will America ever teach this to its younger generation?😕 Never! Because Americans hold a different opinion all together...

Why thrust your opinions on others? (... Through History text books which contain not facts but opinions of its authors...)

And talking abt the Govt being eunuchs... What about New Orleans? Will America ever teach its children how there were major lapses in the rescue operations because most of the residents were African American? I have my doubts...

Beleiving too much in the news, if there is a storm warning, you know you are going to be submerged, and you refuse to leave, dont blame others that you died😉, and if this thing happens every year in Orissa, I beleive, we just dont care of people's lives in India, yeah but we do care if someone else dies in someother country, and we can blame Bush for it, we do, dont we😆😆😆

Lol yeah... Someone dies in some other country...😆😆😆 The funny thing is that the "Some other country boasts of being the World's most Powerful.." Now it aint really done to compare it with a "developing" country... Is it?

Yeah it does happen in Orissa... But the rescue operations in Orissa are similar to what is done in the rest of India... The government does what it can.. To the best of its capacity....Instead of prioritising other things over the lives of the people... Now spending more money on an Iraq war (and letting soldiers ie for nothing) instead of carrying out proper rescue operations in a poverty stricken area... Was tht all the Bush govt could do? 😕

😕😕

You probably dont know this

In America, if there is storm that is incoming, there is intensive coverage two three, four days ahead of it, I know about Katrina, my friend was in New Orleans a week before it reached and his company evacuated all his company documents from that office, fearing a loss of proprietary data, a week ahead of it, He was given a mandartory warning to leave immediately, he left

It is below Sea-level, so even a normal surge is going to take that city down, I know that, I have just lived in that city like 2 weeks, they did the same with Rita.

When things actually happen here, they buzz the TV's and radio frequencies that will even wake up a dead person

If after getting a fair warning, if someone did not evacuate, How does that become Bush's problem, First responders to a calamity always are local, state and then federal, If that is the order, how does one get to blame the Federal Govt first but not the local Govt's? Just b'cos they were not named Bush😉, or is that selective vision?

Were mistakes made, yes certainly, but to hold Bush administration is wrong, they are like 3rd on the list of accountability

The problem here is, for everything Bush gets blamed, so by the time it gets to a valid mistake where he should be blamed, it gets to become a wolf and kid story, and everyone loses their credibility😉

Warnings were given or not is besides the point....

What about the evident lapses in the rescue operations? **....😕😕....**

Kartina being a such a huge cirsis should have attracted the attention of the President!!... And New Orleans being a black majority area.. It just seems too much of a coincidence doesn't it?😉 Anyways I just realised we are straying out of the main topic...

To bring it back on track.. The children of tomorrow will never be taught about the lies that Bush told about WMDs in Iraq to attack that country... About how he prioritised war expenditure over everything... They will just be told how America did some International Policing to "rescue" the Iraqis from a dictator like Saddam... Heck!! The kids will not be told that America needed oil and Iraq was the worl's second largest producer of oil... They will never know how the people of Iraq suffered because of American sanctions on Iraq after the first gulf war...

They will never know the real politics behind the Israel-Palestine conflict... To some Palestine is the trouble maker while to others Palestine is the oppresse while Israel is the oppressor.. History textbooks will be framed according to government policies and to present their country's stance.... Thats how it has always been...

A major part of the real History is just meant to be learnt through "Hearsay"... It happens in every country... 😉
