Does happiness come from within or do you look for people to give that to you?
Life for me is bogus. What do you think?

Before achieving happiness there must be a desire which results in happiness once fulfilled.
So theoretically, if one has no desire one cannot be happy.
😉
If one is hungry, food will be the source of happiness.

In the practical world we are often running after the wrong things which may cause confusion and dissatisfaction . Without desires one may have no reason to live ...?

Happiness is also about dopamines and serotonins and oxytocin at times. Most people derive happiness and peace from having a stable home and loving family and giving to them and providing for them, gives them something to do in life. Others must follow creative pursuits to feel fulfilled and happy.

There could be a healthy way for attaining happiness and there could also be an unhealthy way of attaining it. Looking towards external factors like people, material, drugs; as a means for attaining happiness can only be short lived and bring on dependence. It makes more sense to be self reliant and strive towards a state of mind that can stay stable or unprovoked by its surroundings. If not at all times at least most of the times. The default setting seems to be bliss unless distracted.

Some say happiness can only be ephemeral not a permanent one
But human beings can strive for contentment

I think we as human are all obssessed with happiness. I think it is better to have meaning in life rather than happiness. Meaning keeps us grounded and real. While happiness is just a short term thing.

Our real self is happiness itself but for creation to take place and continue some disruption is needed to trigger it so desire takes shape and the soul gets entangled in its own web.
