Like someone here said...crying is like a wonderful gift which helps us express our feelings so well...

~ "He does not weep who does not see"- Victor Hugo

~ "There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love."-Washington Irving

~ "The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears."-John Vance Cheney

~ "Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears once in a while, so that we can see Life with a clearer view again."- Alex Tan

~"She said she usually cried at least once each day not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful and life was so short."- unknown

~ "I often want to cry. That is the only advantage women have over men - at least they can cry."-Jean Rhys

Now its the last quote which intrigues me...do you all agree that women are lucky that they can cry as often as they want to???

Lovely topic Tally, like Mythili said you always make us laugh and today you are making us cry.😆

I still remeber when I cried for the first time watching a movie, the name I don't recall , I was mayb 4 or 5 years old and in that movie they were going to kill this child pet which was small lamb. I still rememeber that I would stop crying and my parents had to stop the movie and make me understand its not happening really but is just a drama an act.

I even cried when I watch Ocra the Killer whale. I cried for the inhuman act of some greedy fisherman killing a whale and its unborn baby and I felt the whales pain on losing his mate and child.

I cried when I read Wuthering Heights for Heathclif and Catherin, I cried when I read To Kill A mocking Bird , Animal Farm and Coming Home Place. There are so many insatance when I have read a good book and felt what the charater felt and cried.

I cried when I lost my nanaji - mothers father when I was around 12 yars old.

I especailly cry for the children who suffer at the hands of adults by being sold for sex or slavery. And pray to god that nothing like thsi ever happenes to any kids and to protect them from such people.

I have cired when I miscarried and now also when its taking me time to conceive again.

I agree we females are very lucky that we can grieve so easily by crying or maybe we are more sensetive to others feeling or the happenings around us.

Crying really puts things in prespective and helps us to see things in a better light.

I must tell you to cry in front of LORD KRISHNA and HE will clear all your obstacles.

I don't cry under specific situation but do get goosebumps which is equivalent (for me). I get goosebumps when I hear certain songs/singers which touch my heart. As an example, even today I get goosebumps if I hear the rendition of "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" or AR Rehman's "Vande Mataram"..

The last time I shedded actual tears was when one of my favorite SaReGaMaPa singers, Paresh Madhaparia, was voted out of the competition. He was not the best singer but a very soulful one and the best part was that despite his linguistic barriers he tried his best and in some sense matched or exceeded his contemporaries..

This may sound strange but I am one of those who don't cry easily.
I feel very hurt but am never able to cry or weep.

I guess thats just me... I do feel sad about certain things and wonder why ?

Tears, idle tears, I know not what they mean,Tears from the depth of some divine despairRise in the heart, and gather in the eyes,In looking on the happy autumn-fields,And thinking of the days that are no more ~Tennyson~

Thanks for putting up Tennyson's beautiful words. It is so touchy.

I often hurt people whom I care a lot. This action of mine makes me 😭 😭
I cry when I don't implement the things I feel like implementing.
I cry when I don't understand the things I die to understand.I cried I lot when I did'nt understand the control systems subject in Post Graduation.Later on I worked hard on that subject, now its my favourite subject.
Driving the silly point home.We cry for the things which we are possible to implement.
Crying 😭 is for smiling only 😊
