Hi all!

Back to the discussion.I'm 77.87 % matured according to that test posted by Dr Ashu(TallyHo),this 77.87% is real(15 % test result was a joke for Pyaari Maryaam) I feel that age factor is definitely an important factor. Its not necessary that all Elder people are matured but most of the elder people are matured, experiences of Life make them so!!! This is the reason we respect elders (if at all we are bothered to do so),elder people may not show their mental maturity all the times but most of the times.I used to think that mental maturity has nothing to do with age but now I feel it has something to do with age factor also.

Its only in some cases we find extremely mentally matured young fellows and our DM is full of those category of people.

See in India forums!!! Most of the times we can find the difference between a aged person and young person(like me😳),Elder people don't react to the comments much violently they restrain themselves from making counter arguments on the comment and manage the situation well, its not that young people reply foolishly or make a mess .

Some wonderful quotes :

Henry David Thoreau:

"The youth gets together his materials to build a bridge to the moon, or, perchance, a palace or temple on the earth, and, at length, the middle-aged man concludes to build a woodshed with them."

Roosevelt:

"A mature person is one who is does not think only in absolutes, who is able to be objective even when deeply stirred emotionally, who has learned that there is both good and bad in all people and all things, and who walks humbly and deals charitably"

Cheers,

Mythili

Holy cow... no wonder D-2 is in your siggy. This movie must be dream- cu-true for you..😛😛😛

Re your topic: I disagree that there is absolutely no relationship between age and maturity level. I would want to say that with age progresses the difference in the level of maturity decreases. In other word... just a fugure of speech......this is how I would see it...

ML= Maturity Level on a scale of 1 to 10... 1 being pure childish and 10 being absolutely sophisticated... could do nothing wrong

Person 1 (Age) Person 2 (Age) ML1 ML2 ML Difference

14 &nbs p; &nbs p; 30 &n bsp; &n bsp; 2   ; 6   ; 4

17 & ;nbs p; & ;nbs p; 33 & ;nbs p; & ;nbs p; 4&am p;nb sp; &am p;nb sp; 6   ; ; 2

18 & ;nbs p; & ;nbs p; 35 & ;nbs p; & ;nbs p; 5   ; 7 &nbs p; 2   ; ;

21 & ;nbs p; & ;nbs p; 38 & ;nbs p; & ;nbs p; 6   ; ; 7   ; ; 1

In other words what I am trying to portray here is ith age the difference in the level of maturity narrows..

This is just a general thought. Human brain is a very intriguiing thing and therefore on a case by case basis the results will differ vastly.

As pointed out by the author of this thread, there is every chance that a younger person may be more mature than an elder person.
