Angel, since you said you didn't believe in reincarnation,I
suppose by 'soul' you meant your self consciousness, your psychological being
and not as a separate entity which is capable of existing outside the
body, right? If that was your interpretation, then
I agree with you.I believe soul is just a product of our consciousness.I was only negating the
idea of a soul as an indestructible entity passing from one life to another
till it attain Moksha/liberation as Hindu philosophy says.

No. Psychology is too superficial.

Soul is deeper. It is something so unknowable yet very much there. It takes something beyond the functionality of the brain to "be conscious" of the existence(here I am not speaking of the perception/psychological function). That's my feeling anyway.

Speaking of transmigration of the soul, haven't experienced it, I did not witness the journey of my soul's entry into this body from a previous one. So, can't say :p .. And about reincarnation, hard to believe in it. Looks silly to me actually.

Soul.. I believe it is there. Saying that since there is a soul, it would have desires and would be caught up in a cycle of birth-death blah blah blah, is unknown to me. All I know is there is some kind of unknown intangible indescribable force/energy/some "entity" that I call soul.

^^ That's an interesting thought!
You believe soul as an entity exists, but it won't reincarnate. So thinking along those lines, I wonder what a soul would do/where will it go after death if it won't reincarnate? Are you assuming that it will cease to exist just like the body or something else?

About Soul:

Soul... Just as a tree leaves seeds behind before dying, similarly the body too leaves behind seeds before it meets death. What we call sperm or ova are the seeds left by the body at the time of death...or sperm contains the entire built in program of your body, it contains the exact replica of your body...This phenomenon occurs at one level the physical. Similarly, consciousness, on a different level, gathers itself and becomes a seed in order to enter the seed present in some other body. All journeys begin with the seed and end with the seed. Remember, that which is the beginning is also the end. The journey's cycle ends where it started. We begin from a seed, we end up again as a seed.

We are now back to soul, does it exist, if so where, and prove it, and how to you prove something you don't see...

First you need to believe there is a soul, before you discuss the reincarnation aspect of it...

I believe in
consciousness but not soul.

See, unless I witness something, I cannot say. 😛 I dont even want to think about it. YES, there is a possibility it would enter another new body.

I think the soul is already part of an existence. It wouldnt CEASE to exist. I cannot say what will become of it, but I do know that it will continue to exist as long as this universe. Only, it's FORM may change. We die, our bodies degrade because there aren't LIVE cells working to support and sustain our system. Do we CEASE to exist? Maybe the psychological consciousness and the bodily existence may disappear, but our bodies would merge with the soil, that's all. These are my beliefs.. if my soul does enter a new body, it'll be something to look forward to, unless I'm again burdened with endless health problems and morbidity 🤢

I concur, it most certainly seems a "more sensible" approach than trying to pin all happenings on someone else or something external over which we have no control. A total waste of energy I'd say. 😆

Karma is simply cause and effect. You are responsible for your actions.

Reincarnation - it's better to focus on your present life than your future or past lives. I don't know how I feel about it. Sometimes I believe then sometimes I don't. Science has not come this far yet but I was talking to someone once and they pointed this out: energy is not created nor is it destroyed. So it there is a such thing as soul, does it just leave your body? Where does it go? Isn't it like energy? It has to be used again in some way again? Nature never lets anything just sit around and go to waste.
