Is being emotional a crime?
Because every now and then i have witnessed my expectations turned down
The moment i start trusting ,is the very moment my trust gets trashed away ...
People have become mechanised, feelings are nowhere to be seen ...
Words are daggers
Actions are insensate

So my question is
"Should a person become stone hearted to survive in this dark and cold world ?"
Awaiting different perspectives. ..
Thanks :)

Got this interesting note:

This is amazing, Randy Pausch 47 yrs old, A computer Sc. lecturer from Mellon University he died of pancreatic cancer in 2008, but wrote a book The last lecture" before then, one of the bestsellers in 2007. What a legacy to leave behind...

In a letter to his wife Jai and his children, Dylan, Logan, and Chloe, he wrote this beautiful "guide to a better life" for his wife and children to follow.

May you be blessed by his insight.

POINTS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

Personality:
1. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don't have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
3. Don't over do; keep your limits
4. Don't take yourself so seriously; no one else does
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip
6. Dream more while you are awake
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner of his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:

15. Call your family often
16. Each day give something good to others
17. Forgive everyone for everything
18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
19. Try to make at least three people smile each day
20. What other people think of you is none of your business
21. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
22. Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.
23. GOD heals everything
24. Do the right things
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
27. The best is yet to come
28. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful
29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
30. If you know GOD you will always be happy. So, be happy.

Being sentimental is not a crime.

However, there are people who externalize and express feelings; there are also people who internalize and mull on feelings. Someone who internalizes is not always comfortable with people externalizing; people need to understand that and not take it as being cruel or coldhearted. Also there are social norms and boundaries about sentiments. Personal sentiments are often reserved for close friends and family. Being expressive about these sentiments to acquaintances or coworkers or not so close friends is committing a major social faux pas. Sometimes people shut you down because they don't feel close enough to share sentiments.

Makku.. U took my words.. b .. Anyway I believe that if u are getting back stabbed by the person whom you are emotionally attached with.. That means you are either bad at judging ppl or you knowingly u are letting them do so . It happens with everybody.. You know what I am talking about.. We both have faced this.. Sometimes its just misunderstanding... Sometimes its false motive.. Sometimes its circumstances... So its part of life.. And we have to accept it.. And why not positively that we are gaining some experience out of it.. Also I believe that every person gets everything .. Love , happiness , hatred , sorrow etc etc.. May be your happiness is standing next door ... It wud reach u soon .. Baby ese dukhi naa Ho.. Everything will be fine.. Just ignore them and be with them who are with you..

I think lovers are sentimental and are often overcome with melancholia. They are too emo and seek perfection. But often disappointed they may have suicidal tendencies.
They find most people are too worldly and do the value friendship, love and goodness.
So we are advised to be practical and not swing in any extreme emotion of love and hate. We should value each relationship according to their practical worth.
Have a few good friends, we can't be having too many "good" friends in all practicality.

I dont think so.Being emotional is part of our deeper personality.
We are unique and different from one another😊.

One more thing if you're not emotional then you will never understand the emotions
of others😉

Being sentimental is fine, but don't have expectations from others. This way you won't be disappointed. Just enjoy your life trusting God, and then do what you want with focusing on positivity, hard work, and happiness and along with it, less expectations from others, and you will be fine! :)

Its not about expectations.. But sometimes ppl fool us by telling their sentimental stories.. N later on we get to know that they were lying.. We get carried away in emotions n make a fool out of ourselves. Like a girl few days back approached me saying that she is suffering from cancer... N asked me not to tell anyone.. She told so many other stories of her life.. I really felt bad for her . N cried for her.. N a few days back I got to know that she was lying to me.. I felt ditched..
