Similar: A Tintin plot line about a disappearing jet

Tintin connection: In his comic book Flight 714, published in 1968, Belgian cartoonist Herg penned a plot which resembles some aspects of the Malaysian mystery.

In the plot, set in the Far East, Tintin, Captain Haddock and Professor Calculus are offered a lift in a millionaire's private jet. As event unfold (panel 1 above), the aircraft is hijacked by the pilots and brought to a deserted volcanic island; (2) the jet manages to make a rough landing on a makeshift roll-out runway; and (3) gunmen surround the plane and Tintin's dog Snowy makes a run for it.

After several close shaves - and even a meeting with aliens - the friends finally make it safely on to Flight 714 and to their original destination, Sydney

I dont think any country is involed. It is not possible. I dont think a country would hijack a plane or even hide the news.
There is evidence that it was deliberate act and suspicion is on crew now. As I said earlier it could also mean that someone from chinese western region where there is insurgency could have hijacked it as well. There were 150 chinese there.
Whatever the cause it still does not explain the point that in this modern age where cameras have gps where they tag your pictures with a location we are unable to find location of a jet. That part of how all this was done still remains a mystery

Let us see how the dramo unfolds.
Sorry for those with friends and relatives on board.
Hope we learn a lesson from this incident:
I guess they will have a hidden tracking device on each and every plane which cannot be removed.
There should be a computer tracking programme to check on every plane that belongs to a country. Alarm bells should ring if anything is out of line.
Hidden cameras within the plane should be able to provide all information to the ground control.
The list will go on and on and on ...

The satellite image of the purported Malaysian plane over Andaman Islands.

Going about his work nonchalantly at his office in Gachibowli, this techie probably beat search teams of various countries in finding a probable vital clue related to the missing Malaysian plane.

An IT analyst by profession, Anoop Madhav Yeggina had been scurrying through innumerable images of DigitalGlobe Satellite QB02 over the past few days until he stumbled upon an image which almost took his breath away.

He had found a satellite image of a large aircraft flying very low above the Andaman Islands on March 8 which he believes is the Boeing 777 of Malaysian airlines.

The 29-year-old is among the lakhs of people from across the globe involved in the crowd-sourcing' project to find the missing plane with more than 200 passengers on board. He had uploaded his "discovery" along with a write-up on the CNN website on Friday, March 14, and since then received more than 16,000 views, followed by many comments from viewers. "I am confident that the image is that of the missing plane because of many reasons. First giveaway is the fact that the image was captured just above a forest and very close to the Shibpur air strip of Andaman Islands. The air strip is exclusively used by the defence forces with no permission for civilian aircraft in this area. A close look at the image will reveal if it is flying extremely low so much so that the clouds are above it which suggests it was done to avoid detection by radar. Most importantly, the standard scale measurement and colour of the missing plane matches with that of the plane in the image," said Mr. Anoop. Wishing for safety of the passengers, he had appealed online to people with technical know-how of aircraft to further investigate the image in order to trace its whereabouts.

Those 2 have no involvement in this incident. Its illegal but its complete different case. Travelling with fake passport was just becoz of illegal immigration/migration.

Heartbreak for relatives as officials say they believe Malaysian Airlines flight DID come down in the southern Indian Ocean

Relatives of passengers and crew have been informed of the 'heartbreaking' news that Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean, the Malaysian Prime Minister has announced.

Najib Razak told a press conference new analysis by the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch and tracking firm Inmarsat suggested the flight ended in the southern Indian Ocean.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 vanished from civilian radar screens less than an hour after take-off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing with 239 people on board on March 8.

No confirmed sighting of the plane has been made since, but much debris has been found in remote waters off Australia which might be part of the missing plane.

According to Sky News, the families of the passengers on the missing plane are now due to be booked on to flights to take them to Australia.

So far, ships in the international search effort have been unable to locate several 'suspicious' objects spotted by satellites in grainy images or by fast-flying aircraft over a vast search area in the remote southern Indian Ocean
