Just in case there is any confusion about which side I am on - I am all for mixed marriages. One literally gets the best of both worlds!

You marry who you want to marry whether it be national, international, mixed cultures, same cultures, different religions, same religion...you marry who you want to marry.

Inter Caste marriages are OK as long as Religion that they follow is same. I am not against Inter religion marriages as such but the odds are against them. If 2 people have worked thru all what might come along their way being from diff regions-faith than it is fine. Most of the time when people are in love they think they can deal with anything and everything but when reality hits and problems starts sprouting they realize that they really had not thought it thru . Remember Love alone can not conquer all. And Society is not very warm abt some of this arrangements either.

As long as two people from diff religions have thought everything thru whether they will continue practicing their own religion or accept one, raise children with two religion or one. These are very important factors which most young couple don't think of. My only sceptacism is under which religion would one raise those children 😕?

Marriage takes place between two individuals who are not only coming from two diff families but different culture, values and upbringing. Now u throw in diff religion too into that scenario it gets even more complicated.

All I say is Together & upfront think things thru what u can and than proceed. Pre marriage counselling I would definitely & highly recommend.

My marriage is intercaste marriage with religion being same. But than again both of us came from such different upbringings, culture and values which took us some time to understand each other and work at it. I come from a vary diverse family having marriages which are inter caste, inter religion & International in some people's books that has lasted for 40+ yrs. No divorces yet in the family. So anything is possible if u are determined to make it work with god's grace and families blessings 😃

My 2 cents. I am in support of most & being Devil's advocate to some points. No offense meant to anyone. 😳

very truly well-said. Inter-XYZ marriage can be more challenging. One has to work a bit harder perhaps.
I very truly support it for the genetic benefits.

I support inter-caste marriage, as I don't see any problems in that. As for inter-religion marriage, I won't say that I don't support it but there is only one hitch. Marriage doesn't mean you think about 'you & I', there are a lot of people involved, and if your marriage puts your near ones in danger (which inter-religion marriage many times does), then it's prudent not to go for it.

Well said DB, I would support XYZ marraiges for the same reason QT😊

Yes it would be a real challange , but these days to have a successfull married life even in otherwise perfect marriage is a challange so why not more options😛
