Btw speaking of acting and family. Amidst the Khans and Kapoors, I think the Pathak clan is highly underrated. I saw Ram-Leela and was completely blown away by Supriya Pathak. Her sister Ratna is a great actress with the most supreme comic timing. Even mom Dina Pathak was supremely versatile. I remember her playing the strict matriarch in Khoobsurat and the hilarious socialite in Golmaal. Kind of sad that they don't have as much as a rave fan following as others. Ratna should have had hit funny movies like Sandra Bullock and Tina Fey. Supriya should be like a Meryl Streep with her ability to be any character.
Edit: Ratna and Nasserudin have been married since 1982. Thats long in B-Town. 😲
Agree completely - Supriya Pathak was beyond amazing. I think that's one reason I really enjoyed the movie. Even if you find faults in the story, characterisation or the flow of the story, the individual performances made this movie great. When was the last time a 4 movie old actor managed to deliver such a performance?!
And speaking of underrated - Richa Chadda is brilliant! She deserves a lot more success.
On a similar note, when was the last time Bollywood had a movie as hilarious as the Hera Pheri series? Instead B'wood keeps churning out crap like Grand Masti. Welcome was hilarious, particularly that last scene in the house lol, hope the sequel is just as good, if not better!
@Zephs - Ah, I have a soft spot for Shahid but I've really lost interest in all the movies he's done in the last few years. But the guy has potential, Kaminey was evidence of that. He just needs the ability to sense a good script! Haider looks promising!
Uff, so much PC hate?! :( lol that has got to be her career best performance and I seriously applaud her for wanting to do a wide variety of roles unlike Miss. Kaif and most of today's actresses actually. (Sonakshi, Anushka to name a few) she just got unlucky that year, competing with Vidya.
