Ok, Nice to see Govt , opening up "govt-jobs" for transgenders .
Sometimes , this country amazes me with all it's contradictions.

one thing i never get is.. why is it important for job applications or any other form to know if someone is married or not or is divorced or not..

I mean either have just two options - married or not.. ( covers widow, divorcees) .. or not have this question at all..

For legal purposes , perhaps. I mean say someone gets the job in place of her husband post his death or for any other reason. These documents can be produced in courts , if need be. Totally guessing this one. 😳

Divorced or separated employees may still have legal obligations to provide child support, alimony etc. They can still provide health care for children or claim children as dependents for taxes. So that is why an employer may need to know.

However, in most parts of the world discrimination based on marital status is illegal so these questions cannot be asked unless an offer is made.

what is the role of nature?
And where should we draw line... when taking control of our surroundings?

Going by rudimentary ideologies - had humans restricted themselves to not experimenting - cloning benefits in field of agribuz would not have been materialized, internet as we know it would have never been discovered, machine age wouldn't have come, universe would not have been explored..

and i am pretty sure we are one of our kinds in this infinite world...

but then, how do u balance the price of this advancement with the increasing rate of extinction of other species..'

Are we that smart? - that we would figure out a way to overcome this dependency on other components of the ecosystem?

Were we fated to fly and ultimately doom?

Or, if we created our own history.. our own future..our own world..can we not fight this?... or is nature indeed.. still the most powerful..

are we headed towards our extinction ( by total annihilation?)
