Sorry for the delay in giving you your next DOTW. Because of LN being busy globetrotting nowadays, I'm posting on her behalf (which translates as copy pasting her post from earlier DOTWs 😛). Anyways, without further delay, let us welcome our next DOTW:

List for our MOTWs

RULES:

Unfortunately, due to barrage of not so nice incidents in past DOTWs, a couple of rules have to be included from now on. Those who fail to comply by the rules, will be banned from taking part in MOTW, all their posts in MOTW threads will be deleted and their WLs will be increased depending upon the severity of transgession

1) NO MENTION OF PAST INCIDENTS/OTHER FORUMS TO BE DUG OUT.

Lately members use the DM thread to dig out incidents from past, happenings from other forums, their baseless thoughts and accusations and start the volley of member related actions

2) MIND YOUR LANGUAGES

Take a break and pause for 3s before writing anything you would not like to hear from others.

3) REMEMBER ITS ALL FOR FUN

Members ask others member related questions and when the answers are not to their liking, hell breaks. So please remember, its all in fun. when your time comes you can also name members as so and so , and you probably have to.

I have randomly picked 12 profile pictures (non-personal in nature) from DM Hall of Fame

The numbering is 1 from top left and then it moves to the right and then second row starts with 5 and third row starts with 9. So lets say that yellow bhaloo (bear) is number 7 and lady silencing others is number 11

Task

1- Identify member behind each picture

2- Identify possible reason behind each picture

3- rank them according to your likeness (for example 1 could be rank 12)

4- Pick 6 members and suggest them a new profile picture.

My questions to Rehan:

Who were the first 14 DOTWs? Bonus points if you could name them in the order in which they appeared.
What did you learn about them?
What do you plan to do with the information that you gleaned in the process of learning about them?
What is information?
If all the information about the universe (the meta information) can be captured in a chip, do you think information about the chip too should be captured in order to "complete" the information gathering process? And if yes, then where should the information about the chip captured and where should the information about the information about the chip captured? Continuing in that fashion, do you think we will ever have all the information, even if hypothetically or do you think if we will always be left wanting?
Moving on, what is the purpose of information? Is it there to assist us in navigating our way through everyday life or is there more to it?
If all humans die, will there still be information?
If life as we know it were to cease to exist, will there still be information in the universe?
Is information meaningful only to those who are conscious/intelligent or is it meaningful to the universe in general (as in, does universe remember it's previous configuration to progress to the next configuration)?
Does universe have a POV? If yes, from it's POV, what do you think is the point of progressing to the next configuration and what do you think was the point of the previous configuration?
If there is a God, what's the point of Him/her/It? If there's an entity called consciousness, separate and distinct from the temporal world, what's the point of it?
Is there a point to living happily as opposed to not caring about happiness or unhappiness? In the end, does the sum total of happiness and/or unhappiness mean anything?
Is there a point to life (not just ours but life in general)?
Are all points defined in a circular way, ultimately one in terms of another?
Does everything have to have a point? If not, why do you think some have points and some don't?
What's the point of it all including existence itself?
In your opinion, does existence (as one single entity) know or not know that it's all pointless in the final analysis? Alternatively, in your opinion, do you think it's aware of the point of it's existence, it's just that we can't imagine what that is? Does the phrase "final analysis" even mean anything, in a world not bound by time?
Which came first? Existence or the point to existence?
Does every question have to have an answer, even if we don't know the answer yet?
Are questions as meaningless as answers?
Finally, what is the meaning of meaning?

The intent is not to know Rehan. The intent is to know Rehanism.

Just as knowing Buddha is not as important as knowing Buddhism

Of course, what is "important" and what is "not important" are also up for debate :).

This debacle needs to be analzed properly so that it does not happen in future.

Was he asked and informed about this event?

-If not then why this topic?

-If yes then did he contact mod after the topic

--If yes then what did he say?

--If not then why not?

I hope all is well with him and InshAllah it will be.

If it is indeed the case (i.e. all is well) then this should not be happening. You dont want to participate, you have exam, you are busy, you are on a train trip of europe like DDLJ, you are on honeymoon, you are climbing a rock, you are hanging on a tree, you are in love, you are on moon, you are on your way to another universe, you are in biggboss house, you have travelled back in time, you are watching chennai express, you are dancing and shaking, you are on the hunt for zakir naik, you are doing meditation on top of everest, your laptop not on top of your lap, you are shy, you are reclusive, you are rajnikanth, you are thallyva, you are in search for truth - nothing and i mean nothing matters. If you have commited to it then its your responsibility to come here and tell us what is going on and why you are not able to acknowledge this topic when at some time point you had agreed to do this.

We the members deserve this. Its a bad habit that one goes awol like this. Its bad manners.
