Ajnu! I was quite surprised too - so used to seeing her in Dum Maaro Dum, Angreji beat type songs. Didn't think she'd be able to carry out something as desi as this. If this movie also does well, Deepika will probably be one of the most sought after actresses in Btown after the amazing year she's had.

Eks is already planning to drag me to it, I think. She is a Ranveer fan. It didn't look SLB type flick though. He captures the rural traditional flavors well, but the rough around the edges, gun wielding types seems out of SLB's comfort zone.

Also..the return of Supriya Pathak! Can't wait!! :)
Speaking of weddings..destination weddings seem to be the trend these days. I so wanna see one of those big fat Indian weddings in Rajasthan that everyone always seems to be going to.

@Hindulyf
You have me dreaming of Jodhpur/Udaipur weddings.

I knew she would look good in traditional wear coz of OSO and CE!

@S: Yeah, that is true - it seems different then HDDS and Devdas because of the edgy theme but still, as you said, SLB captures the rural world beautifully! Even if the plot falls short, the outfits, music, set will be grand.
@Genie: I know!!! I want to go to a nice desi wedding just so I can dress up! It's been a while! I keep telling my friends to get married - but they just don't listen. Arghh! 😆

@Dia: Ahhh, I want to go to a wedding in Rajasthan! One of my coworkers is getting married in Goa this year as his destination wedding. Bet it will be beautiful even though Goa is a tourist-y spot. Deepika has become one of my favorites - she looks stunning in all her movies and her acting is improving tremendously! I had high hopes from Anushka but that went down the drain. Priyanka was at her peak and then don't know where she went wrong. Kareena is doing well but I think Deepika has really made a name for herself in Bollywood!

Saw bits and pieces, it had good moments and the little speech he delivers. But damn DPad was funnier than him! she looked to pretty. I have given up hopes of my Raj/Rahul wala Srk. He needs to do more Chak De type films.

Awww, I miss Rahul! SRK used to be such a cutie. Yeah - he does great in the Chak De type roles as well, but now he's doing stupid things like RaOne and Don that I don't even attempt to watch.

Goa is definitely worth a visit! Never had it down as a place for a destination wedding though. Went there a few months ago and it is definitely very tourist-y. There are many spots where you'll see more Russians than Indians. (esp. the flea market) The beaches are buzzing, they have a very clubby type of atmosphere if that's your scene. I just wasn't a big fan of the type of crowd it attracts.
Haha I have a different problem. The ones that are married seem to wait forever before having kids sheesh! :P btw CE is a timepass movie, some funny lines but the SRK from the 90's is long gone. The last scene was such BS.

@charminggenie: She didn't impress me much in OSO. She's improved a lot since then.

Watch Don. It is actually good. Farhan Akhtar has completely reimagined Don in a slick new way. If not for SRK watch it for a good Indian action thriller by Farhan.

CE I recommend for Deepika. She really showcases her comic chops. SRK was hamming over the top, it was pathetic. But I think she deserves to be highlighted for her improvements.

@Dia - Being Goan, I love Goa. Many areas are tourist infested. However, there are still many picturesque fishing villages and river towns that make good locales. Ponda region has many nice temples as well.
