Hey you guys dont u think it is wrong when the male performers (even thought a TV show) hit there female co-stars. I noe alot of young ppl who watch the soaps and is this really the example we want to set for people. Thats it ok to abuse a partner in a relationship. (I mean both ways for a woman to hit a guy and guy to hit a woman)?? I dunno i was just thinking its totally frowned upon yet why is it ok on TV which influences a lot of ppl? Post replies it would be interesting to here different points of view from around the world. im from canada and its totallly not accepted here even though it happens everyday???

Well, I think differently. Are you saying that males in India don't hit their wifes or viceversa? Of course they do. So I think it's just another reality that Ektaa's portraying in her show. I see no fault in it.She's showing the truth. It happens. A very popular and ethic example would be that of Draupadi. She was dragged by her hair. Wasn't that abuse? Why did everyone keep quite then? So what's wrong with showing that on the soaps?

This is just my opinion, you don't have to agree.

I dont agree

Well i know it happens but what makes it wrong are the fact that in serial they do not state that it is wrong proving that they are a follower if for exampla Mihir slaped Tulsi and Tulsi responed not by crying or listening but by taking some action against him then it would be right!!

No no im saying ppl do hit their wives and i noe wives that hit their husband but what i would like to see in television is ppl working throught problems to solve them this will teach ppl that violence is not the only solution that there are others ways to solve problems. TV should help solve the problem not promote the wrong cause? Shouldnt we try stopping abuse all together?

those are some good opinions but honestly sometimes the way the plot is going the viewers really want to see something like that and it makes us all feel so good if someone slaps someone who really deserves it. for example when thulsi slapped meera b4 the leap..im pretty sure we all wanted to see that. the slapping doesnt relle influence me in ne way but i no wut u mean.

yaar i dont see the problem though ekta is portraying that its rong though since u see the remorse the characters feel afterwards i mean if we ban everything that is rong in real life from a serial we gonna be watching happy clappy stuff all the time and now thats unrealistic
