It is a well known fact that as long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country/region/city they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness: Nation with 1-2% Muslim includes: United States 1.0% Australia 1.5% Italy 1.5% Norway 1.8% Canada 1.9% China 2.0%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs: Nation % Muslim Denmark 2.0% United Kingdom 2.7% Germany 3.7% Spain 4.0% Thailand 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves ? along with threats for failure to comply. Nation % Muslim Switzerland 4.3% Philippines 5.0% Sweden 5.0% The Netherlands 5.5% Trinida and Tabago 5.8% France 8.0% At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris ?car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons). Nation % Muslim Guyana 10.0% India 13.4% Israel 16.0% Kenya 10.0% Russia 15.0%

Of course, that's not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons like Shiya, Sunni, Wahibi, Ahmedi etc like blood thirsty animals.

This can be true of any minority. It also depends on who you are speaking to. Small towns which have predominantly majority population show fear of even 1% minority. Large multicultural cities will show harmonious tolerance to even huge fractions of minority. Forget Muslims, there are dozens who will say blacks, Hispanics, gay people, immigrants all are tolerable as long as they are a nice cute and quaint 1-2%. This point is kind of moot and frivolous.

Street gangs are a result of many complex social and class disparities. Religion is just one small fraction of the mix. Most of the time the reasons for gangs and violence and tied to economy end education. You will find street gangs of White Neo Nazis, Blacks, Hispanics, Hmong, Asians, White trash etc. Gangs are formed out of any and all ethnic groups. Your argument shows a complete lack of understanding of social dynamics and class issues in society. You are fixated on a religion and forget causation, your correlation itself is non-existent.

I don't see the big deal about demanding halal foods. Jews demand kosher foods and there are whole lines of kosher foods. Hindus demand beef free eateries. Go to any large grocery stores and you will see aisles catering to a small ethnic minority. These days even vegetarians and vegans are pushing for foods that meet their needs. Similarly you have push for organic foods, free range foods, local foods. It is natural for people do demand foods that suits their cultural social states. I don't know why that even is a point. My family is Hindu, but we make it a point to buy halal meet when in Chicago. I always prefer buying kosher hot dogs myself. Big Deal!!!

As for demanding Sharia, most Muslims know and understand that living in a secular democracy means that there is a separation of church and state. Expecting Sharia is ridiculous and stupid. It is only the nut job extremist factions that do so. In fact UK had the biggest push for Sharia by some nut jobs.

As far as I know Switzerland, Sweden and Netherlands have not had any push by any groups demanding Sharia. None to garner international interest at least.

Any group that is lead by hooligans will result in lawlessness, chaos, uprising and threats at the smallest frivolous instigation.

Know about the anti-war riots in USA during the Nam era? Remember the LA Riots over Rodney King? Remember the London riots last year? Care to count the number of bandhs, riots full of bus burning, chappal and stone throwing that take place in India sometimes simply out of rivalry between political parties?

If you wanted actual statistical significance you would take a count of all riots in a period and graph out the causes and groups involved.

This bit shows a complete understanding of history, racial and social dynamics of regions. The complex problems in the Balkans and Africa are not the result of Islam. These regions are stricken by a multitude of conflicting ethnic minorities, tribes etc. If you study the history of conflict in all these regions you will learn that they have less to do with religion and a lot more to do with long term historic conflicts over race, ethnicity, tribal relations etc.

You also cite Turkey here, but modern day Turkey is considered as the model Islamic state. For a majority Muslim population it is a very progressive, socially liberal and highly democratic nation. Ata Turk the father of Modern Turkey was a very progressive Muslim who established a very progressive state that actually goes against many stringent Sharia systems. It was a Muslim state that gave women to vote much before some European nations like Switzerland, Liechtenstein etc. Before France, Turkey was the first to cause controversy by being the first to ban head gear in the public sector.

Similarly Morocco is another Muslim state which has tried to adapt western ideals of social freedom. Muslim factions in Morocco have detached from the extremist factions in the Arabian peninsula. Progressive reforms in 2011 guaranteed women equal status politically and socially, and established freedom of speech and expression laws akin to those in the United States.

In many international circles Jordan is considered as the "good kid in bad company". Jordan has tried to maintain amicable ties with USA and Russia and avoid the Jewish-Muslim conflict in the region. Being so close to the Israel-Palestine hot zone and the Arabian peninsula, it has not been easy for Jordan to maintain peace. Amidst the Arab nations, Jordan is usually ranked highest for freedom of speech.

Many former Soviet Satellites have hostile relationships with Russia, but they are less to do with religion and more about the fall of communism and the state of Soviet Satellites. Even Estonia and Belarus which don't have a high Muslim population have extremist factions that are highly hostile to Russia. So it is incorrect to count the Soviet satellites with the "terrorist" nations.

Also only Somalia in your list has engaged in what is internationally defined as "genocide".

Speaking of ethnic cleansing - what about the persecution of Romani people in Europe, the persecution of North Indians in Maharashtra or the recent expulsion of foreign nationals in South Africa. These things take place without Islam being a factor.

And finally invoking beloved dear Godwin's law. As far as I know Nazi Germany the biggest executer of mass genocide and ethnic cleansing known to modern man was not a Muslim state. Hitler still trumps Osama on the pure evil scale.

I do hope most Muslims don't get their panties in a bunch and can put an effort to logically and peacefully expose bigotry and phobia.
