FB is so full of BS and loser talk. I hate it when people talk in crypts and act mysterious. They are bursting to say but want you to beg them to tell you. Attention seekers 😡 I just don't ask "what next?" deliberately. 😛 😆 I end up upsetting many that way. No suppression there.😆

Don't you just hate it when the person you're Facebook stalking never updates anything...Tongue

1- Majority of the time we suppress and not express. We experience lots of things every day and then there are thoughts (hallucinations in some cases) but we do not share or express all those but suppress. This is why we are able to focus on life or else everyone else would end up as a character of a saas bahu serial.
2- There is nothing wrong in suppression and if anything I think this is more important than expression. It is one of those things whose presence is not appreciated but when there is lack of it we realize its importance lol.
3- In some situations expression is more important and there suppression is not advised. For eg. if someone has a problem or if in love then its better to express it and get it over with. There is no need to keep it inside as then you are affecting your life.
4- What you express is beyond your control while what you suppress is still with you and you can be diligent about it.
5- I think this is a great topic as it made me think about myself also. I don't know where I fit.
In conclusion, suppression is a useful mechanism to manage our thoughts and all the impulses we get and focus on the useful things which do need to be expressed.

I think it is prudent to exercise a certain control. Offcourse expression is always better than supression, but there is a time and place for it. And also at times you do not need to state everything outright, maybe throw hints, or express subtle. I have problem expressing at times, because once i start i am very difficult to shut up. That is why i write a diary. I write everything i want to say to certain some one in that diary when i cannot say that to the person in face, or when i know i shall regret saying that to the person in face.

Yes you have a good point, so let us explore further.
Firstly know who we are dealing with. If the Boss, we better be more tactful.
As they say we cannot oblige everyone but can speak obligingly ( or be courteous).
Truth can be expressed in a way not to offend.
