New Year resolutions is a pretty good way to start on the right track.
Do you believe in it?

But in setting a goal we have to be realistic and provide some flexibility too. Occasional failures should not deter us and renewed effort is needed.
Giving up vices is most challenging.
What are most such resolutions?
Stay off chocs n shed a couple of kilos
stop smoking n cut down drinking,
study harder n less TV n movies
Control Temper n be a better person
Self improvement, skill development
Find a job, get a boy friend/girl friend
Do some good works
Satisfy some desires, dark or light ones
Find where God hides
Read more n improve hand writing
Make mum happy

How to make a New Year resolution

Although many of us make a New Year resolution at the beginning of a New Year but we do it more out of a custom than with actual planning. Also, people don't spare much thought in finding out what he/she will actually like to achieve in the year. Hence, the success rate with New Year resolution is actually poor. Some tips therefore can become handy in making your New Year resolution a success.

Fix your target: What is really important to you? What do you want to achieve in the coming days? Setting your priorities will help you set your New Year's resolution better.

Make a realistic promise: When we promise, we promise big, without really considering the possibilities of achieving it at the end. This is one of the major causes of higher failure rate with New Year's resolutions. Hence, make yourself a realistic promise.

Make an optimistic promise: Try and look at the positive side of the promise. Leave the negative ideas aside. Hence, instead of saying that 'I'll not be late at my appointments' say 'henceforth, I'll reach everywhere in time'. The positive tone will help you improve your chances of success.

Break down big goals: If you have promised yourself a big thing set small targets at first. Instead of looking at the mammoth task on the whole, taking small steps towards achieving it will help you to reach the target easily.

Develop other habit: We all know that some habits are hard to change. Hence, the best way to change an old habit is by developing other engagement. If you have decided to quit smoking, find another engagement which will relax you and will take your mind away from smoking

Wackiest New Year Resolutions

  • I will stop biting my nails as some places in my nose have become unreachable.

  • I will save money from this new year. And, making missed calls tops my to-do list.

  • I will stop sniffing my socks every time I take them off.

  • I will do house chores. Once found $100 and it is getting highly addictive.

  • I will reduce the frequency of making hoax calls in my school that there is a tarantula in the washroom.

  • I will try to find out the reason behind me having an email id on almost every e-mail service which exists.

  • I will stop irritating my Facebook friends by storming their wall with Farmville updates.

  • I will stop changing my profile picture 100 times a day, now I would change it only 10 times.

  • I vow to brush my teeth everyday. Mom, please exclude Sunday from everyday.

  • I will stop replying with K, LOL, to my friends' texts.

I don't think NY Resolutions are anything important, or viable. A personal can set a goal, target or resolution whenever, wherever and however they want: They just need to be MOTIVATED enough to do it.
I'd rather have a person set out a resolution when they FEEL ready, not just because a new year has started. A vast majority of NY Resolutions fail, or dont even get started. If a person REALLY wants to make a change, they should make it when they are physically, emotionally, and mentally Commited to whatever the change is; not based on the date. It allows for a healthy change, and a prodoctive, if not successful Resolution.
NY Resolutions are also based more on a "bandwagon" mentality; many people make one simply because it is expected, "what's your new years resolution this year?". Not because they're ready or simply want to.
Should it be realistic? Yes?
Should it be a New Years Resolution? No
Make the change for whatever you want when you are ready. It's a simple as that.

Inshallah ! 😆
People are spending fortunes to shed some kilos and here you are doing the reverse.
Looks is a lot about confidence and how you carry yourself too. So please remain positive and things will work out.
Resolution: put on a sunny face

Yes often these resolutions lack the conviction and commitment, or the goals are set too high.
As they say "Just Do It". Good things can be done anytime.

Somehow the New Year seems to add more vigour in our lives and in some ways we can start on a clean plate. Perhaps the longer holiday break recharges us.

Don't die means keep healthy.
Death is not for us to decide but we can minimize its chances by keeping healthy and living wisely.

Nah you are as beautiful as you want to be.
Think beauty and you are beautiful.
Thoughts dictate everything.
The world is your own reflection.
