Yea Schulz, you've got a valid point. But as captain, Sourav had to first cement his place in the team. Inspite of being a Sourav supporter, I must admit that he has failed there in the last few months.

Sourav should retire immediately.

He has done for Indian cricket what nobody has. He took over when the match-fixing scandal was at its height, steadied the team, took on and mentored new blood, led the team to the world cup finals.

How does he allow all this indignity to be heaped on him now? He should say FINITO and go out with a bang.

I think the should retire!! I saw an interview with sachin and he was saying that he cant see the ball coming as clearly these days. Sourav i think is no use now... he use to play really well but hes also damp now. lol i think they should retire

sourav and rahul had their debut in same match if u dint know,and rahul is elder in age few months.he lost his cricket not coz of indian coach but coz of his poor form which was,if im not wrong for over 2 yrs.and Sourav did very nice as captain but if u believe it dat way then why shudnt v make Kapil Dev captain or Sunil Gavaskar captain,bcoz the players will never retire,and captains will absolutely never be.And about opening ,he dint wanted Sourav to be the 12th man and get the drinks trolly,if u r a supporter of Sourav,u shud know that,and wat about being a hard-hitter?The role of an opening batsman is to play the new ball well,and that Rahul has done very well coz Sehwag,coz of his hard-hitting,has been out very early,as early as first ball,and by opening,he gave Laxman,Sachin and Sourav the positions they r best at.isnt it?His commitment is unmatchable,purely unmatchable.By gettin in Dravid u hav made me deviate from my point,tht i was supporting Sourav,but Dravid is really the best,and he will do very good as captain,his commitment will make him do,and he will be learning by time,captainship cant be learnt in a day!

He took on,he did a gr8 job,but the way he has been insulted,he shud bounce back nd prove tht wat he is,nd the way he played in Karachi,nd also the way he fielded,its clear he has a point to prove,and ya,he'll b back,and now not records,but his performance will speak

i think i had seen an interview in which he said he will retire when he will think he's a burden on team,and no1 can challenge his place.his presence in dressing room itself is much more than anything.
