I love the story of the Taj Mahal but I hat the King for cutting off the architect's hands.
He truly deserves punishment for that.

Well, Shah jahan's karmas did pursue him. His son Aurangzeb dethroned and imprisoned him. He also killed his elder brother Dara shikoh who was Shahjahan's favourite son. So Shahjahan spent his last days in imprisonment looking forlornly at the Taj. He had already lost his beloved wife for whom he has said to have built the Taj.

Well said Rehan.
Although Brahman cannot be known by the mind and the senses yet He can be experienced. In personalizing God we can have some sort of a relationship with Him but we also tend to limit Him. Initially some form or symbol is useful.
The same mind that binds us also liberates us it seems, must be the buddhi which gives us greater insight.
Modern religions should emphasis on God's universal aspect but tendency for humans is to form their own sub groups and divisions.
Harmony will return to the world in time as awareness grows. Emotions and feelings are different mental states and our thinking can be corrected.

you need a cushion to fall on, a persona to blame on, and savior to believe on. and god fulfills all three. So yes I believe in god!

ppl r obssesded with the fictional love story of mumtaz n shah jahan so they r not able to see the truth..

taj mahal was bulit long before shah jahan was born..he never built taj mahal.

shah jahan just captured taj mahal forecefully from rajput king jai singh for the burial of thisfamilymembers..

he removed the idol of shiv from there n buried his family members there.

tht time it was known as tejo mahalay.it was an anceint shiv temple palace..

once u enter taj mahal, u will seeseveralhindu symbols associated with lord shiva..

I see interesting. Then why cut off the architects' hands? No wonder people hate royalties. Mosques, Churches or Temples do not matter so much as over time religions keep changing. Important for people to have a choice.

cutting of hands is also fictional like the fictional love story of shah jahan mumtaz..there is not written proof of such issue in books of foreing travellrs who stayed in the mughal palace during shah jahan's era..

but there is written proof tht was a hindu temple palace...was was captured forcefully bu shah jahan for burial of this family members..

these travelers say tht taj mahal was bulit long before shah jahan was born..

taj mahal is also one of the thousands famous temples which was captured forcefully by mughals n they removed hindu idols n named it as mosques..

I don't care if Tajmahal was a temple or not...Tajmahal is the pride of India and its a FACTand it should always remain that way..
