Nor a pagan disciple of false rites
Not the pure amongst the impure
Neither Moses, nor the Pharoh

Bulleh! to me, I am not known

Not in the holy Vedas, am I
Nor in opium, neither in wine
Not in the drunkard's craze
Niether awake, nor in a sleeping daze

Neither clean, nor a filthy mire

Secrets of religion, I have not known
From Adam and Eve, I am not born
I am not the name I assume
Not in stillness, nor on the move

I am the first, I am the last
None other, have I ever known
I am the wisest of them all
Bulleh! do I stand alone?

See this why I love Sufism
😊 it's taking time but I'm slowly getting there
Sufism has changed my views on life and God
I have peace of mind.
All the great Sufis believed in humanism
There no rule to love and find God
In the end it's between U and God.
Some people get very weirded out because I believe in Baba Nank and the Dalai Lama.
I believe that people should not fear God but love God and the people of God.Regards of views
Sufism has taught me to understand every faith.
Before all this I had a neg views on my own religion Islam
And I understand it more now... We should keep on learning
about our own and other faiths to understand God

BTW when I meant by a some consider Baba Nank as Sufi , I meant there r different views from Sufis on this one.
Very well said, u were right about everything. Finding God is whats makes people a Sufi

I think every religion has its attraction, a sort of a magnetic power that draws us in.
Now let us see the definition of sufi and sufism

"Sufi" is a unique word. "Sufi" is a unique Power. It does not relate to any particular religion. It belongs to all of humanity.

"Sufi" is a clear, pure Essence that has filtered and settled slowly, deep within. It goes beyond the state of mounam (silence), even beyond the station of the mouna guru (the silent guru within us). It is that State of Stillness when the Resplendence of the Pure Clarity of Wisdom has sunk down and settled completely within its ultimate Completeness and Perfection. "Sufi" reveals the nature of the final state of the receding of that Perfection, when it has settled down slowly to its ultimate Stillness. "

La illaha
Nothing other than God Exists.

Il Allahu
You alone are God.

This is Sufi. This is the Word of God.

Indeed in higher stages of spirituality the little ego merges in the universal. Religion is only a guide to reach the ultimate.
To experience the ultimate our body and the nervous system must be ready for it; the current that flows can damage our system unless it is ready to withstand the force.

Ur going in to the personal effects, in which everyone is different.
I was talking about what Sufis see and want( everyone feels that diferent ) and yes this can be harmful We cannot consider ourself God
We only want to see him or experience God
Ur right every faith has this power that some truly understand but not everyone.

Well anything that is expressed in words will fall short of the Truth. Everyone interprets God in different ways and no one is right and no one is wrong; but everything falls short of the Truth. Our capacity is our own limitation. Some say God can never be known and some say knowledge comes in a flash. But I do know that God is watching all the time.
As to Sufism I was only trying to get a quote from a real Sufi Master.

There is always a question, whether all things are fated or do we shape our own destiny ?
It seems that it could be a mix of both and often one thing leads to another but somehow or somewhere we have to start the ball rolling. To achieve what is fated for us we have to make the effort too.
Everyone seeks peace and happiness but often land up looking for it in the wrong areas.
