When the economy is on a downturn, racialism, strikes, protests and riots will emerge. You will hear more in the coming months from different parts of Europe and Other part of the world!!!?
Watching some videos of this london riot you'd think it was taking place in darkest Africa...Today british government allows people of all races to come and settle in their country so that britain will be multicultural country. But the white british society has never succeded in assimilating them as equals!!!?

Thats kind of racial to state that the heart of Africa is still uncivilized. Are we still in the heart of darkness days.

On what basis are we assuming the riots were racially motivated or have roots in failed multiculturalism. Why are we blaming a diverse nation for the actions of 300 or so goons? Do rioting Indians represent their entire nation?

Race and prejudice still exist across the globe. USA and UK still have racial and integration issues. At the same time they have people who are warm, welcoming and respectful of other cultures. Before we look at other nations, how integrated is India in respect to people of their same race and ethnicity? When we divide ourselves on petty reasons, how do we expect the world to accept our differences?

Bold: That got beyond me as well. Every newspaper article you look up is full of it. 😕

@ Sayali do you mean to say all newspapers were full of 'racial' nature or multicultural clash?

I've not read newspapers, but none of the online or television news sources have stated racism as the issue. Actually I did not even know the race of the man who was shot because most UK based online news sources only state name, age, children, neighborhood etc but don't make race affiliation. I found out yesterday because the CNN sub line screamed riots in London due to black man being shot dead (which is a half truth).

It is clearly a class/income riot as the rioters as well as victims have been from all races. Although a lot of rioters are black, their reason for mayhem is income, poverty and unemployment related and not with race.

Civilization is about respect for law and proper behavior. The majority of the people in most countries have that and are law abiding. Religion and culture play major roles.
Discipline shown by the Japanese during the Fukushima disaster is commendable.

RTH: Actually, I'm treating the Times Of India as my sole source at the moment. And yesterday, there were vivid details of the Indian/Pakistani/South-Asian men who were shot, killed or maimed in any way in the process. It was the in the article whose sub-title screamed: Britain's Multicultural Identity in Tatters" or something like that. Struck me a trifle unbelievable though;the insinuation that ethnic minorities are the SOLE TARGET of the rioting. Somehow that didn't make sense.

Media likes to sensationalize. Racial and communal violence sells more than a bunch of jobless people randomly looting. The fatalities were Mulsims, South Asians, but it was a mere coincidence rather than targeted fatality. Media needs to get over its obsession with race and religion, and twisting every incident to fit their obsession.

Is that based on some evidence or are you just expressing your own beliefs
