What does "jump the shark" mean? It means the stage from where a show, a series, a book series, an actor, a company, a politician, etc starts declining in quality/performance.
Example, Harry potter jumped the shark from book 5.
Rani mukherji had jumped the shark once she signed a yash raj only contract.
two and a half men will likely jump the shark once ashton kutcher comes in.

Personally, I loved the shows performances, but absolutely hated the story and it's characters. Whenever I saw them I felt like strangling them, especially rachel. 🤢
So yeah, when a sitcom falls short as regards the story, I think it will be jumping the shark. Glee season 2 airs in india soon, and I for one, won't be watching it.
