Food! If there is anything that can even make something as morbid as death to be exciting, it has to be food. The inspiration for this topic is deliciously simple. Last night I watched Food Network's 'Best Thing I Ever Ate' and their episode theme was last supper. Food Network stars discussed and shared what they would want their last meal on earth to be and why.

So, if you were to die and were given a choice for your last meal. What would you want your last meal on earth to be and why?

My choice would be the 'Brat & Bacon Pretzel Burger' at The Great Dane brewpub in Madison. Any Wisconsinite worth their salt knows that the bratwurst is best food on earth. It is a flavor explosion of ground veal and beef making the perfect sausage. Only in this burger this sausage magically transforms to a delicious patty, all the goodness that is a bratwurst in a burger patty. That is not all though, this juicy patty is topped with bacon – God's greatest gift to mankind. The burger not any ordinary Kaiser roll or sesame bun. No this piece of art is assembled on another exquisite example of fine craftsmanship – the pretzel, a fresh baked warm soft chewy pretzel drizzled with butter and sea salt. It is then served with a pilsner mustard. It is my favorite burger in the whole world, but I don't eat it as often as I'd like. After all its other name is 'Cardiac Arrest' served on a plate. But I'm going to die anyways, might as well die with this Cardiac arrest of the heavens.

I'll wash it down with a few pints of Strongbow Hard Cider, brewed right there at the Great Dane. The scents of fall and harvest, the crisp goodness of sweet tart apples all in hoppy brew. What a way to end a life.

I'll be way too confused. I'll either die hungry or will be alive for a long long time trying to make up my mind.

I never had any one particular favorite food, song, color, movie, car................

Seriously if it my last supper I doubt I would be able to eat much.
I would have mixed feelings, firstly on one hand I jump into the great unknown which I love but on the other hand I leave lots of loved ones behind and also a lot of work for them to do.
But then I am a lover of food too. I do love real hot peppery chillis of various colours, I do love them made into special achar etc.
Also love citrus fruits like pomelos and oranges ( which I always stash in my fridge).
I love soft lovely freshly baked bread too and its aroma can kill me.
I shall not speak of meat just in case some members are vegetaranians.😲

I'll start with greasy fries and perhaps something Indian, like aloo chaat.
Moving on to the main course, it can be anything from beef/chicken tacos to goat(mutton) biryani brought in straight from Hyderabad.
As a side dish, I'd like to have General Tso's Chicken or Kung Pao beef, or something vegetarian for a change something mushroomy(I love mushrooms😆)
Then for desserts, I'll have my favorite, something that I actually had in India(if you guys know, there's a Chinese restaurant called Mainland China), it is a sizzling brownie with ice cream and crispy honey noodles.
I know I'd probably stop by the time I'm in the middle of my main course, but hey, it's good to dream isn't it?😆

Make that dahi waley aaloo where the rasa has dahi in it. Khattey and chatpatey - yummy. It still is not the ultimate meal for me though. There still are so many goodies left - the soft warm gulab jamuns, kulfi, daal kee kachauri, chholey bhaturey, chaat-paapri. Main toh kha kha ker hee marr jaungi😆
