Well, the dq wasn't that unjustified, if it were youtube or gamespot it would have probably won 😆 or got praised.

I guess its just that its India forums, and like Indians, they don't like open vulgarity, even though it really is a sex starved nation of firangi butt pinchers and the like.

Anyway I don't think you were being unfair in any way, sarina. :)

I really miss you shad, Please change your ip or something, coz I miss you like HELL.

1-Entry# 1For sheer creativity! I could never imagine anyone coming up with anything based on what looked like a random collection of emoticons. Drives home the point that there could be a message hidden just about anywhere, we just need to look for it ! Though it was the first entry, for me it was a winner right then.

2- Entry # 9 Well written, emotional, patriotic and with a strong message to those who don't think twice about endangering and belittling precious human lives on flimsy grounds. But then sadly the message never reaches them !

3-- Entry # 10 At first glance I didn't really like that diary like entry , but once I got reading it struck a chord . The emotional turmoil is brought out so well.

Its been tough selecting which ones to vote for. But had to shortlist three so tried to do it. The unofficial entries were fun reading too !

Let me understand this correctly.

1) Anybody can vote.

2) Everybody knows how to count

3) You ("the official") will count (or have them counted) what you think are "official" votes ("official" as in those votes not in favor of disqualified / unofficial entries)

4) Others are going to count what they think are legit votes.

5) You will declare a winner. The others will declare a winner.

6) It doesn't matter in what thread a winner is declared, there will be 2 winners, one per you and another per the others. In a way, we have something like a real government and a parallel government.

7) Regardless of which "government" declared the winner, the winner at the most gets a custom logo that they could stick it in their ...signature, if they wish as much.

7) Anybody could design a custom logo and stick it in their ...signature, any time they want. That custom logo may or may not have the word "official" in it but even if it does it could be considered invalid by either "government".

8) There's nothing stopping the "winners" from feeling like they are the sole winners. There's also nothing stopping the "winners" from feeling like losers because the choice is not unanimous.

I had a good mind to pull away from this contest after all this unecessary controversy but then I agree with sunny. Do ppl really attach so much importance to winning a virtual contest or any contest for that matter ? I think its seen more as a fun activity . At least thats the way I had seen it as !

When it was agreed that we were done with all discussions regarding entry # 3 in a previous thread I dont see why it was brought up again unless as I said above its a deliberate attempt to disrupt peace on the forum. TNF had herself liked that post that said no more discussion about it. What went wrong suddenly? Is it because of the ban ? Whom do we blame for the ban? Do we always keep blaming others and not take any responsibility on ourselves for what happens to us ?

There can be a disagreement about issues but after having discussed everything at length and reaching some consensus if ppl go on and on about it , it takes us no where !

Regarding the reference to a govt and a parallel govt made above by K--Does the govt throw up its hands when terrorists attack? Do the public actively support the govt or blame the govt as usual and then blame the state of affairs they find themselves in ?

Its so much easier to just wash off ones hands from everything and pull away but then we have no right to blame when things go wrong!

I have a suggestion . Whoever wins can dedicate the logo or whatever to TNF ! After all the contest is based on the pictures in a contest that was designed by her . Why take the winning part so seriously ! I think its more important that you participate in a good spirit and add to the fun that the contest had meant to be.

For me every entry is a winner , I liked the sentiments expressed in each one of them . Its very difficult to choose.

Its my appeal to everyone to take things in the right spirit. As for TNF's ban I heard its only for 2 months and not permanent. Looking forward to her fun filled contests soon. From what little I know of Shads I dont think she would really mind being out of just one contest . I have no doubt whatsoever about her creativity , I m sure she can turn out winners anytime she wishes to .

sorry for this long post, I d better log off now , or I ll be late !!! Im already getting angry shouts from my ffriends for being here at this hour . Will get back with the votes by evening 😆

Anyway the purpose of the games is to bring members closer together and not cause a rift.

Chalo now lets stop all this rona dhona, and gussa karna for I have some good news !!! The ban which was supposed to be for 2 months is revoked and we should be able to see TNF by 24 hrs ! So get over those glum faces now ! Arrey ab toh khush ho ? !

I m sure that all will agree that the usual permanent IP ban was too harsh for whatever was posted by TNF , so I m glad that she's getting a second chance. The ban gets lifted but the warning levels will probably stay ! So TC ! Lets keep our fingers crossed that the news is right and nothing goes wrong now !
