Race one can't choose and has to accept whatever he is by birth. So, discrimination on that base can be termed unfair because even if the person wants to join he couldn't because he simply can't change his race.
Religion on the other hand one can choose. I don't see it as any different from affiliation with an organisation. Whether he did it for heart, soul or his brain, is upto him, not my concern in this debate. And if the organisation places a condition of 'members only' for entry, then I won't say that they've done anything wrong. Their place their rules, take it or leave it.
