i think we have at least a good 15 years between us; back then i couldn't get over myself and my life too. come to think of it, i can't get over myself even now, even though now it's more about the inside than the outside.

😆 Oh c'mon now, Mister K, despite all the leg pulling, you know I have immense respect for you. :) As far as the age difference, if you're around GD's age, we have a good twenty years between us. But what's in a number, right?

I obsess mostly on the inside too. The outside is a tiny matter when compared to the inner complexity.

Pardon me for the delay. The results will be up as soon as I finish typing assessments. Karan and Ajnu mentioned closing statements, and I am giving them time for it.

As for judges, it will be me steering the ship solo. I had asked SJB and DB for guidance in assessing the arguments. They had agreed and SJB even assessed G's opening argument with me. However, I have mismanaged the competition. Moreover, I cannot expect them to brave the pirates. Jack Sparrow will have to enter the mouth of the Kraken.

I will take some of that blame. Sorry about any/all misunderstandings.

I could make up for that a little bit by making one suggestion. You are, of course, free to discard it.

My suggestion is to basically score 5 categories:
a) presentational style b) factual accuracies c) emotional appeal d) reasoning e) miscellaneous

Each category would have a max score of 20, for a sum total not exceeding 100.

Miscellaneous could include the sophistication shown in refuting arguments as well as the number of likes.

I think the following should be scored:
Gauri
Cuckoo
Karan
Ajnu
my_view

(Sorry Labib, I think an opening statement is important even though the ultimate decision would of course be taken by Sarina and the rest of the judges).
