Threatening a celebrity doesn't bother me as much as limiting his right to speak freely does. Freedom of speech is extremely important to me. Somehow, this reminds me of the Rushdie controversy; who knows what will happen in the future.

Oh no Meena, we aren't forcing you to dislike him, Atif can carry on making albums (but in Pakistan), you guys can invite him to the US, and enjoy his nasal sheepish besura performances.... all we're saying is that he shouldn't be invited to sing in Bollywood, we have far better aspiring singers in India, let's make use of them.

And if people prefer listening besura "singers" today, then we have no dearth of them in India either 😆, let's give them an opportunity..... most people like his music (credit goes to the composers rather than him) than his monotonous voice.

Even his fellow Pakistani artists call him besura 🤣

SS has not threatened to kill SRK. They have only asked him to withdraw his statement "Paki crickets are welcome to play in IPL". What's wrong in this. Indian Govt. has always asked Pak to stop supporting terrorists in their countries, clear out the camps and only then can a meaningful dialogue can emerge for peace.
SRK is stubborn like any other Paki. Why, we all know...what the common factor is.

Its very easy for Balasahib to ask any of his sainik to wipe out SRK but that is not in the blood of a Hindu. We are basically most tolerant, beyond the need, maybe.

SS is only trying to twist SRK's arm by blocking "My Name is Khan".
Hope SRK understands that he is first an Indian then a Muslim. His entity is because of India (Mumbai) even though his muslim mother gave him birth.

I will be the first Hindu to hug a muslim who says that there is Ram n Krishna along with Allah.

We all know that 'Pen is mightier than the sword' but when the ink blots, the sword has to come shining through.

The sword is a weapon of barbarians who live in the past.

The Thackerays have a right to express their opinion. They have a right to contradict SRK. They have a right to be offended. They have a right to protest his film. They have a right to ask their supporters to boycott the film. They have a right to stand outside theaters and peacefully hand out flyers pamphlets, hold signs protesting SRK.

They do not have a right to suppress SRK's opinion. They do not have a right to threaten him. They do not have a right to break the law in form of vandalism. They do not have the right to disrupt the peace. They do not have the right to bully people into conforming their opinion. In fact suppression of freedom of speech, threatening, bullying, vandalism and violence are actions chosen by terrorists.

That's what I said...when all the ink blots, the sword needs to shine. By saying sword, I dont mean in literal sense...read my previous post.
No one is threatening to kill SRK, despite his inexplicable stubbornness.

So it has to come down to threatening to kill to be considered wrong?

Threatening to vandalize, threatening dire consequences if he does not apologize, literally blackmailing a person into apologizing is perfectly fine.

SRK has the right to be inexplicably stubborn about his opinions. He has the right to be politically correct, praise or dislike who he wants. No one has a right to ask him to change his opinion.
