Skill is very much required. the baseball bat is so narrow and ball swings a lot in the air. You need a very sharp eye, practice and fast reaction time to hit the ball.

Those balls are hit anywhere from 70-90 + miles per hour..😃

Cricket bowlers bowl more faster than Baseball bowlers, and that too at a shorter distance from the batsman I think..... so Cricket batsman require better reaction and more skill... after all in Cricket, it's all about getting the ball in the right place, whereas Baseball... just swing and hit 😆

Yeah true and there are 2 seems on the ball. It makes it swing in the air a lot more than the cricket ball.

It's all about the impluse-momentum theorem. Since the mass is constant, the difference of the velocities has to be good enough to connect and the batsman has to exerted a huge amount of force over the short period of time to hit the ball well enough.
