i found my english book and we did about...well u can read it

in 1992 dr nigel cox was found guilty of the attempted murder of his terminall ill patient, lillian boyes. and her son thanked him.
lillian boyes was a very cheerful person and never complained about anything.
when she developed an infection in her blood and she was going blind and on top of this she was also suffwering from heart failiure.
she made friends with her docter. after 13 years of being ill she was in constant pain. it had reached the point where everything had become too much for her.
the next day his mum was quiote cheerful. but after that her condition got rapidly worse.
she was in agony. even the sheets against her skin caused immense pain. she hardly seemed able to breathe. then dr cox walked in the room and brought a syringe which he put into her foot. a few minutes later she paased away.
her son went to thank him. and dr. nigel cox was let go from prison.
wot we had to do was write if we thought that euthanasia is a good thing or bad. i wrote:
dr cox wanted to help this lady get out of pain. so i am glad he was allowed to keep working as a docter but i dont jknow if it should be legal cos some people may take advantage of that fact.

Yes, hun, you wrote well. keep up the good thoughts. But you know now heart failure and many diseases can be remedied by the miracles of science. So what seems impossible or more like magic today will be possible some time later. So never lose hope and never discount an honest prayer.

I personally liked what vishesh suggested to have a board that makes decision as per individual case. 'coz there are situation/patient in life where it is very painful for person to live and also, their relatives to suffer. even after years of painful treatement and debts there are no chances for patient to survive.

About Million Dollar Baby, there are two perspective. If I was the one who had to end life of such person I am not sure what I will do. It is hard to free someone's life eventhough it is "mercy killing" and probably you are helping that soul. Probably I would still have guilt of ending a life or killing someone. Doctors and mercy killing is whole different issue. Doctors deal with life and death every day..it's their profession. but what happened in million dollar baby has to deal with freeing that sould by a layman.

euthanasia....now tat seems 2 b d hottest topic when it cumes 2 debating...

blv ya me...hfe taken part in atleast three inter-school debates, whch had dis topic....

mah view on dis wud be.... well, i dont know.... seriously, evn after trying 2 look at dis whole thing....am like totally confused abt dis thing....

i mean at one side, it aint such a bad thing after all.... i mean mercy killing is perhaps d last alternative 4 ppl who lead a life much much worse than death, but then.....life is life after all....

too much of confusion, yaa....n i gss tats d reason tat mkes it such an interesting topic 2 debate on....

but God....it wud b soooo nice if d doctors possesed sme kinda magical powers n cud cure evn d deadliest n d most painful of all dseaes.....probably then, d very question of "euthanasia" wudnt hfe been raised, ehh??.....

good topic thre....

Hey!

Sorry for bringing this old topic back up, but does anyone else have any views on the issue??

There are 2 types of Euthanasia:: Active and Passive.
Active is when the patient is killed using some sort of a lethal drug.
Passive is when the patient is taken off life support systems...

Which do you think should be allowed??

There's a common misconception that Euthanasia is a form of suicide. What do you think?
