detachment to outcome..?

The eastern philosophy says that do your karma dutifully without any expectation of result. In other words not to B attached to the outcome of ones action. But is it possible to B really passionate about ones work without being passionate about the outcome. Wud like to know ur views on this 😊

Good question. For most of us humans, I don't think it is possible since we all are human and tend to get over-attached to things every easily😳, but we should take it as a goal and try our best to just do our Karma dutifully.

yeah I agree but I sometimes feel that without actually being passionate about the outcome somehow the efforts put in is not of the same calibre

actually when you think of the outcome you think as if you finished the work .. its like counting your chickens b4 they hatch.

just set the goal and then think ONLY abt the work.. i feel..

I don't think being passionate means the same thing as becoming over-attached, because if we're passionate, we work better whereas if we're detached and have no interest in the work, the quality tends to decrease. So as long as we don't become obsessive about what we're doing, we're good.😊

I guess it's nice to do things with interest with passion and just hope for positive results rather than expecting its coming....that give energy to work harder but if you expert and it's not wht u want...u r hurt!
