Should marriage be scrapped?

Secular live in relationships are better for sure. The guy has no legal obligations to the girl or illigitimate children they may produce. The western system works best for protecting wealth, property etc. of the man and keeping the girl out of the picture if they split up. A very effective system in this modern age of divorce by fickle minded individuals.....

And of course the girls wealth is protected too if they split up...

yes marriage should be scrapped. no fastidious thankless husbands, never satisfied in MIL, no children, no social responsibilities. nothing an ideal life

I'm glad you agree with me. Marriage is an obsolete institution that has no practical purpose in the modern world, especiually since quite a lot of women feel obliged to get divorced in any case 😊

dont single out women. its men too who do not want to spend their life with only one woman.

Why do u think it has no practical value...It single handedly upholds the values of culture and tradition... Its an organizational mechanism... just like organization is not a necessity....but nevertheless everybody accepts organization as a integral part of several things...marriage likewise becomes the integral part of culture and tradition.. after all if the whole world thought marriage was good so far... since many 100's of years.. few generations cant give compelling reasons for not having it....😊

problem with indian culture is that marriage is not between two people but two families,societies and what not. everything but a bond between two people. its done to please the parents, family, relatives, all elders, give an heir etc but for love or looking for a life partner.
therefore marriage has actually lost its meaning.

Marriage is the backbone of any society . The oldest institution of world. No matter what people say but marriage will remain important to all of us ( just my personal view).

isnt it better that way .. if its between the families... or atleast supposed to be better?

how can it be better when two people r supposed to live together when they dont even know whether they r compatible? the families r happy so wht they both r the ones who r really close to each other, who have to live together. it really does not matter if others r not happy till the point the couple is happy with each other.
