its becuase its not common to kiss around in indian culture
if ur walking around, lets say, in a park in america, and if a couple is kissing on the side, its found perfectly acceptable, but in india, not so much
and the spreading of western culture in india intrigues people about all this and thats why binikis and kisses are selling big in india 😆

Exactly, Why do we term it as "Spreading of western culture"....Let's make it "globalization"...makes more sense.

Actually it is important for the Indian Public and hence to the media
If you go to http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/ and look at the most read, emailed, commented, those articles will be in-line with this. So why not the media orient their coverage towards what the viewers like to read/hear?

kiss scene is not important in indian media they just like to make a big controversy out of it because it is still not normal for a couple to kiss in public publicly and so openly. that's why they are making a big deal out of it. this does not only happen in india but many other countries like malaysia, indonesia and many other places.
